The Stranger

[ At York City International Airport… ]

Lanny kept checking her wristwatch while scanning the arrival lounge. She had been waiting for Dmitri De Luca to pass through the arrival gate.

"What happened? Did he have a delayed flight? He should have been here already." Lanny complained, pacing back and forth at the entrance of the arrival gate.

Vladimir just leaned on the wall, with his arms folded across his chest.

"Can you stop walking back and forth in front of me? You are making me dizzy."

Lanny halted on her steps and turned to face Vladimir. She shot him a cold sharp glare.

"Shut up, V. We've been here for one hour and a half. But he hasn't arrived yet. Our father told us about the estimated time of Dmitri's arrival. Don't tell me this is just a prank?" Lanny complained, annoyed by the situation.

Vladimir could only sigh helplessly. "Don't yell. You are embarrassing me. People are looking at you."
