Chapter 263: Being Harsh on Oneself

"Are you Gal Gadot?"

Gal Gadot was standing in a corner at the entrance of the studio, watching Murphy directing the crew in shooting an action scene on the bridge built in front, when a girl with a cowboy hat suddenly appeared in front of her. The girl tipped the brim of her hat, revealing golden bangs and a pair of bright, spirited blue eyes, and asked, "Murphy's new girlfriend?"

"Who are you?" Gal Gadot looked at her, puzzled. The girl was swaying in front of her, seemingly sizing her up.

She was about as tall as Gadot herself, not only wearing a cowboy hat with a grid pattern but also dressed in a short denim outfit. The upper half was a half-sleeve denim T-shirt, and the lower half was riding pants that reached the knees, with a pair of obviously worn brown leather boots on her feet, looking exactly like a girl from a country ranch.

"My name is Margaret Robbie," the girl introduced herself, "Murphy's good friend, David Robbie's sister."

"Nice to meet you, I'm Gal Gadot."

She had heard from Seth Rogen that the head of the lighting team, David Robbie, had a wild sister, which seemed to be the girl in front of her.

"You're really beautiful." Margaret swayed in front of Gadot, "No wonder Murphy chose you as his girlfriend."

She raised her head, looking at Gadot, "Are you Jewish?"

"Yes." Gadot was proud of her identity, "I am an Israeli."

Margaret, however, subtly curled her lip, muttering under her breath, "So you're from a nation that specializes in taking others' belongings."

"What did you say?" Gadot heard Margaret muttering but didn't catch what she said.

"Nothing." Margaret raised her hand, pointing at Gadot's face, "I said you have the characteristics of the Jewish ethnicity."

Despite her wild nature, Margaret knew how to be polite on some occasions. Even though she didn't see eye to eye with the Jewish woman because of Carey Mulligan, she wouldn't say it outright.

She had been in contact with Carey Mulligan and naturally had a prejudice against Gadot.

But Margaret was also nearly fourteen, not likely to act out over it. She knew her brother relied on Murphy; if she mocked Gadot directly and she complained to Murphy, wouldn't her brother be in trouble?

Gadot wasn't foolish either; she could subtly feel the girl had something against her but didn't care. A child wasn't worth her concern.

She crossed her arms, her eyes leaving Margaret to continue watching Murphy directing the shoot. To be honest, in the entire studio, she only cared about Murphy and his friends' opinions.

Seeing Gadot ignoring her, Margaret Robbie felt bored but didn't leave. Instead, she stood next to Gadot, seemingly watching the crew's shooting. However, her beautiful blue eyes kept darting around the studio, clearly uninterested in the filming.

When her gaze shifted to the crew's rest area, Margaret Robbie saw Jessica Alba, the film's leading actress, standing there in casual clothes watching the filming. Thinking of her correspondence with Carey Mulligan, with whom she had a decent relationship, an idea suddenly crossed her mind.

She had spent some time in the "Sin City" crew in Los Angeles, even played a young version of Jessica Alba's character, and knew some things that happened during the filming.

Importantly, these were real events. Speaking about them wasn't a big deal for her, as she didn't plan to do much, just standing up for Carey Mulligan.

"Gal, ah... no," Margaret Robbie quickly corrected herself, "Can I call you Dot? It suits you."

"Dot?"

Being called that by a little girl gave Gadot goosebumps, but she was too lazy to object, "Whatever you like."

Margaret Robbie seemed to completely miss the coldness on Gadot's face, saying, "Dot, you're even prettier than the crew's leading actress, Jessica Alba. I like you."

Gadot glanced at her but remained silent, curious to see what this peculiar little girl intended to do.

"No wonder Murphy turned down such a beautiful woman as Jessica Alba." Margaret Robbie seemed genuinely admiring Gadot, "If it were me, I would also choose you as a girlfriend."

She glanced at Gadot, seeing that she was still unmoved, and then said, "Didn't you know? Jessica Alba was personally requested by Murphy to join the 'Sin City' crew, even falling out with his previous girlfriend, Carey Mulligan, over it."

Hearing this, Gadot slightly frowned. She knew who Carey Mulligan was but didn't take her seriously.

She got along very well with several of Murphy's friends, such as Cara Delevingne and Robert Downey Jr., and it was obvious from the information they shared that Murphy's friends weren't too fond of the Brit.

As an early matured and intelligent woman, Gadot never underestimated the influence of friends on a man. If friends dislike a man's girlfriend, either the man distances himself from his friends or ends up breaking up with the girlfriend.

Murphy obviously wasn't the former type, making Carey Mulligan no threat to her.

"It seems that during the filming of 'Sin City,' Murphy drove Jessica Alba home several times." Margaret Robbie appeared casual, "I was hanging out in Los Angeles at the time, just heard it from someone."

Gadot laughed coldly, "Jessica Alba can't drive."

"Uh, yeah." Margaret Robbie nodded slightly, then said, "I heard that this time Murphy personally chose Jessica Alba to play the leading role again."

"Miss Robbie..." Gadot turned her gaze back from the set to Margaret, "Do you know Carey Mulligan? Are you friends with her?"

"This..." Margaret was completely caught off guard by Gadot's question.

Gadot shook her head and walked towards the set. After a few steps, she turned back and said, "Sowing discord isn't effective on everyone."

She walked away with long strides, leaving Margaret pouting behind her but not feeling embarrassed at all, muttering to herself, "If I were Murphy, I'd choose her too. Compared to her, Carey Mulligan is just a fool."

After one last look at Gadot's retreating figure, Margaret Robbie took off her cowboy hat, fanning herself vigorously, muttering, "Well, that's enough. I did something for Carey Mulligan, justified the letters she writes every month."

"I'm still very loyal." She confidently patted herself on the back.

Meanwhile, Murphy was busy with the shooting. Helena Espola, the art director and overall art supervisor of the crew, was constantly communicating with Murphy. Not only did the director need to be present, but her entire special effects art team also needed to keep up in real time.

After the on-site shooting, all footage would be temporarily handed over to her team for preliminary processing. The goal wasn't perfection but to quickly identify any deficiencies in the Colossus action capture shooting.

Helena Espola had a unique perspective on animation background creation and movement. Murphy learned a lot from her during work, constantly trying to find the best ways to help direct the scene, ensuring his ideas were understood by everyone.

To complete the shooting as planned, there was little time
