"Take me away?" Cassandra asked, stunned by my declaration.
"Yup," I said. "Since I started working with you I've been plotting of ways to convince you to abandon working for Lex and be my assistant."
Cassandra eyed me carefully.
I could tell that she had noticed the change in my demeanor.
The way I carried myself when I was Lily or Lilibeth was different from how I truly was.
I hated acting like the meek and innocent employee who was nothing but a victim of her ex's infidelity. I was sick and tired of people pitying me.
"I know I'm different now," I said to Cassandra, catching her off guard and making my cousin laugh. "I won't lie to you, this is how I am and you'll just have to get used to it."
"She won't change for you," Lex said, backing up my statement. "Heck I doubt she would even change for Alexi and she—"
"Don't you dare finish that sentence, Lexington," I said as I glared at him.
He simply smiled and nodded.
