Chapter 150

Yvonne was taken aback by Saoirse's remark. She looked back at her, managed a tight-lipped smile, and responded. "Even though Javier and I are friends, we're not that close for me to introduce him to people." 

Saoirse laughed, shaking her head. "Oh no, you misunderstand. I don't want to meet him socially. I wanted you to introduce me to him because I wanted to ask him if he could help my cousin, who is in the same line of work as him. As an employee, I don't get the chance to see him often, and I thought you might help." 

Relieved, Yvonne laughed it off. "Oh, I see. Well, I can't promise you anything, but I'll see what I can do." 

Yvonne turned around and breathed down. She really should put a distance between them because she doesn't want anyone to think she got the job due to him. 

The line began to go fast. 

"When will you go back to work?" she asked. 

"Next month," she said. 

"Lucky you," she said. "Work has been hectic lately."
