Yvonne couldn't help but think about what she did that day in front of the grocery store. She realized that her behavior might have frightened Faith. If she was Faith and a stranger came up to her, she would have acted just like her.
Despite the guilt she feels, knowing that she lives in her neighborhood gives her joy. At least she would use this chance to stay close to her and perhaps get to know if she is really Faith or just someone who looks like her.
Just as these thoughts swirled in her mind, Alisa called out to her, "Mom, the car is here."
Yvonne snapped back to reality. "Oh, okay,"
She held Alisa's hand as they got into the taxi.
As the taxi pulled away, Yonne glanced at the window, her mind racing with thoughts about Faith. She touched the window and hoped things worked out for her, but unfortunately life wasn't fair to her.
