"Why did you stop?" Yvonne inquired.
"Nothing," he replied with a cryptic smile before turning around to start walking.
Weird, Yvonne thought to herself, feeling a sense of uneasiness settle over her.
Ten minutes later, they arrived at the grave site.
"You guys can go your way," Javier said, gesturing for them to continue on their own.
Yvonne took her daughter's hand, and they left Javier to tend to his own affairs.
"Mom, which one are their graves?' Alisa asked.
"Well..." Yvonne glanced around the graves.
Yvonne did not know what to tell her daughter. How can she tell her daughter that the person Javier was going to see was also someone she needed to see?
Yvonne decided to pick any random grave to go to, and the place she chose is one next to her grandfather's resting place.
"Why are you here?" Javier asked.
"I am paying my respects," Yvonne replied.
"Oh," was all Javier offered in response.
