Infiltration

On my screen, a robust gentleman, clad in military attire, savors a glass of red wine with ease, reclining in his chair as his feet casually rest atop the table.

In front of the man was a monitor, displaying footage captured by CCTV cameras. As I press a button on my laptop keyboard, the telephone beside his monitor rings.

It took him a few rings before he answered the telephone.

"Hello," it was a voice void of any emotions.

"Supremo" I chuckled.

His eyes darted around his office as if looking for any sign of a person or spy devices. He put down the wineglass and sat upright.

"You! Who are you? What do you want from me?" His voice was now laced with a killing intent.

"Someone who wants your position," I spoke coldly.

"Hahaha, Do you have the guts?" He laughs in a bemused manner.

"Of course" I smirked.

"Kid, do you know who's you talking to?"

"Chief of Defense of the country, General Lizandro and the Supremo of Black Market. Quiet great titles you have."

"Heh, you're well informed."

"As expected of the Supremo can't be easily threatened. I'll give you 5 minutes to give up your position to me."

"You dare?"

"Heh," I pressed a button on my keyboard and the evidence of his illegal dealings showed up on his monitor.

His eyes widened, his face slowly contorted while looking at the monitor. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead.

"You! What the hell do you want from me?" His voice was filled with killing intent.

"I already told you I want your position. You only have 4 minutes now General or Supremo." I spoke mockingly.

"What if I don't agree?"

"Then I have no choice but to take it away from you."

"Don't you dare!"

"I dare! 3 minutes left."

He looks around as if looking for something. Then he looks straight to the CCTV camera.

"That wouldn't be easy." He spoke in a mocking tone.

"Time is ticking Supremo. 2 minutes left," I spoke impatiently.

Just as I finished speaking sounds of gunfire could be heard in the background.

As he heard the gunshots...

"Let's talk it out face to face." He spoke calmly though his eyes kept darting around his office.

"Have you made up your mind?"

"Talk to me first! Face to face."

"Sure. I'll be there soon."

I looked up at Vince who was beside me in the car and told him.

"Stay here and monitor everything. I'll get out first."

Without waiting for his reply I got up and opened the door of the car. In front of me was the building where General Lizandro's office is currently located.

All his people were now lying dead on the ground. Greg saw me get out of the car and waited for me to get near him.

*Bro everything is cleared. The military base is now in our control. Only those who were inside this building were left. What should we do next?"

"Kill them! Everyone who doesn't want to obey me must be killed. From now on Sparks Country's Black Market is under my control."

"As expected of my Bro you're awesome " Greg gives me a thumbs up.

As I looked at his hands it was covered by blood. Not from him but from those he killed.

His face was devoid of any remorse from the killings. Even Vince didn't flinch when the ambush started.

It was as if everything was a normal thing.

That reminds me of how we have lived our lives these past 6 years.

Ever since Greg became the adopted son and the successor of The Protector Agency we've been the subject of hatred by those factions who were loyal to the former successor.

They hired countless assassins from the Black Market to target and kill us. Our everyday life is full of killings.

It's either you kill or you'll be killed.

It's a matter of survival that even Vince had to practice martial arts too to defend himself.

Even though Mr. Brandon sent us bodyguards or security guards to ensure our safety. They weren't enough to make us safe.

We're still pushed to corners where we have no choice but to fight and kill. Our innocence has long gone. Our hands were covered by countless bloods of those we killed.

Greg has been challenged many times by those who aren't satisfied with him being the successor. He fight for his life at that underground arena every single time.

Fortunately, he emerged victorious in every fight which gave him the title of the number 1 fighter in that arena.

Luckily we managed to survive each chaotic day. Until those factions were wiped out by the help of Mr. Brandon. Only those loyal followers of Mr. Brandon remain now.

Maybe there are still some who held ill intentions but somehow they're quite afraid now of how we become stronger each time we fight for our lives.

Those were our hellish years. Somehow it's our brotherhood that keeps our sanity in check. Knowing we have each other to watch our back.

But how I wish they didn't meet me. Cause I felt like I was the one who pulled them down to the hell I am currently living.

I just wished for a simple life together with my family. What grave mistakes I have made for God to punish me like this?

He took away the family I love and now he brought down the people I care to the hell I am living.

It was as if my existence alone was a tragedy in itself.

There's no turning back now. I turned into someone my family hates. They always said, "Be good, give folks a second chance, be forgiving and understanding."

But life taught me differently.

Now, it's about not taking crap from others. Strike first, they say. Give 'em chances, and they might just stab you in the back. Being kind to your enemies? That's just being mean to yourself.

I became the opposite of what my family wanted me to be.

Coming back to my senses. I saw Greg patiently waiting for my order.

"Let those people from Supremo's side who change sides to us take the first action. Let them show us how we should fully trust them by letting them take down their former leader." I command.

Your gift is the motivation for my creation. Give me more motivation!
