Awakening of Earth

Chris was sure that he was going to lose the battle and die in the end. There were too many enemies for him to fight at the same time even with his high attributes. His mana and stamina burned out and he wasn't sure if he got rid of any Asheraan invader.

A lot of humans that were controlled by them died, but he was sure none of those invaders did. They kept their distance in the battle, only sending the controlled ones to fight for them.

Added to that Chris's attacks affected only physical bodies and no harm was done to their minds. He was almost burned out a chunk of mana in order to protect his mind from their mind attacks. This gave the controlled humans plenty of chances to injure him multiple times.

When he was severely injured, it was then that the Asheraan appeared in their true form and started to taunt Chris at his failure.
