The Bargain

Seeing that Chris had placed the item back in his storage, Tara felt a headache coming. They could have bargained for it but Sara had to make a scene. Now the price may have increased because of her stupidity.

Even though they had gained a lot of resources in the core area, they didn't want to give them to the family. If they do, those items would be used by the elders, the same elders who are keen on selling them off for benefits.

They say it is for the family but everyone knows that it's for their own personal gains. The elders would gain power when their recommended family was accepted.

For example, if an elder proposes to marry off the girl to one family, while another elder proposes that the girl should be married to another family, this is due to the difference in their interests.
