Entering the secret realm

Chris practiced spells on Earth for the next few days, in order to increase his efficiency and control over the spells. He already brought the necessary items that were required for the secret realm and stayed most of the time on Earth, rather than on Aredia.

It would be a waste of time for I'm him to spend time there as he would do absolutely nothing by being there. He decided that he would stop hunting monsters or diving into the dungeons in order to increase his level, as there was something he had to do, something he couldn't miss.

If he ventures out into the forest at this time, when it is less than a week before the portal opens, he could miss his chance. No one can truly see the future. There is no guarantee that he won't be delayed by unforeseen encounters.

He doesn't have a background, where he can do things whenever he wants to, as he wanted to. So he can only appear on time, if not the portal may be closed for entrance.
