Her gaze was intense—almost too intense for a simple healer's concern.

Adrian raised an eyebrow, sensing something off. Alas, there was no popcorn in this world.

But then Veda sighed, pulling her hands back slightly before starting to nag.

"Why are you like this, huh?" she began, her voice sharp. "Your internal injuries are much worse than you're letting on. You might think you're tough, but your body is screaming otherwise."

Doome blinked, looking slightly embarrassed. "I-It's not that bad—"
