However, the 'Ember Spire Fortress' stronghold could be considered the most fun and lively of all three battlefields. While Lara's team went for the brute force and Sabrat's team went for the Illusion attacks, Valkyrie's team decided to play with their enemies.

Just like the other two strongholds, the porter made their move when the clock hit 3 pm. Because of their previous encounter with the 7 passages, less than half of their army moved through the safe passages and the others came using ships that managed to break through the Miasma that was blocking their path.

The primary reason they had to take the seven passages was due to a mysterious miasma whose origins were unknown. The dangers concealed within remained a mystery, but to avoid any disturbances that might awaken something within the miasma, they preferred to use the passages.
