Chapter 75: Passing Away

The doctrine of the Age of Dharma Decline originated from the civilization of Buddhism.

Its true meaning lies in the blazing hearts of all beings filled with the three poisons, overshadowing the true nature of Tathata.

The so-called three poisons are greed, anger, and ignorance.

The so-called Tathata means truth in its true essence, clearly not illusive; constancy in its permanence, indicating unchangeability. It means truth in all laws, constant in its nature, thus it is called Tathata.

However, during its dissemination, the concept of the Age of Dharma Decline was both accepted and valued by the current civilizations, and was also distorted and repudiated within the civilization of Buddhism itself.

The main manifestation of this is in the terms "Buddha's foe" and "Buddha's calamity".

The civilization of Buddhism believes that, before the onset of the Age of Dharma Decline, a great disaster will arise.
