Accidental Date

Arlecchino's POV.

"So you're upset because I put the both of you in the same bed?" I ask Gloom and Shimmer, who brought along buckets for the hangover.

Gloom groaned in aggravation while Shimmer puked in her bucket, "Father, I love you, but sometimes you suck, you know that?" Gloom told me causing me to laugh a bit.

In response to me laughing, Shimmer used the Delusion she still had on her to splash me with water, "...Where in the world were you keeping that?" I asked, wondering how I missed the Delusion when looking for them.

"I was drunk, how am I supposed to remember where I put it?" Shimmer replied, making me facepalm.

"Look on the bright side, you guys aren't feeling the effects of Clashing Mantras anymore." I noted, making them notice that they weren't feeling aggressive towards eachother.

There was a moment of silence as the realization set in for them, "Anyhow, it would probably be better if you wait a little longer to make sure you're actually immune to it now." I suggest, knowing that it would be the best course of action.

"Alright..." Gloom replies, although I can easily tell she's unsure, "I guess we can see how it goes?" She says, but it sounded more like a question.

When that came out of Gloom's mouth, Shimmer turned to her, "Hey Gloom, remember what I told you about rizz?" She asked my adoptive daughter, confusing me, but Gloom nodded in response, "How about we see which one of us has better rizz?" She suggested, prompting Gloom to grab her by the hair and pull her away.

The sight reminded me of how Gloom tends to pull people away when she agrees with doing stuff, "Never change Gloom, never change..." I comment with a fond smile.

Gloom's POV.

After I dragged Shimmer to a more secluded area, I looked her Shimmer waiting for her to start, "Come on, I'm waiting, give it your best shot." I instruct.

That made Shimmer laugh, "Oh, you're in for a treat. My best shot? It involves you and a little bit of mischief. Let's see where this goes." She said with a wink, which took me by surprise.

"Huh... Not bad, but don't get too excited now, I might just surprise you and you'll need your A-game to keep up with me." I reply, clearly surprising Shimmer.

Shimmer laughed a bit after that though, "Oh, I like a challenge, I'll bring my A-game if you promise to keep me on my toes." She says, making me frown a bit.

I make a so-so sign, "If that was part of your A-game you should just give up, cause that was just pathetic." I respond, making Shimmer frown.

"So that's the game we're playing?" Shimmer asked, to which I just crossed my arms and narrowed my eyes slightly, "Alright Gloom, I'll try." She says before pushing me to the wall and looking me in the eyes.

Now this actually felt dangerous, but not as it could have since Shimmer is a whole head shorter than me, "You felt that push? I'll give you a lot more if you want~" She says, causing me to heat up a bit.

Not wanting to be outdone, I lift Shimmer's hand with my fingers, "Is that a promise? Cause if you're lying I'd have to punish you severely..." I respond, making Shimmer's cheeks turn red.

"W-well- I can assure you that I don't make empty promises! I would waste no time in making sure you can't walk for weeks!" Shimmer exclaims, surprising me with how blunt it was.

Shimmer's POV.

Seeing Gloom blush made me realize what I said, not that it mattered since I already said it, "In that case I'll make sure you'll have to be in a cast!!" Gloom responded, making me blush brighter than before.

"If you're gonna do that shouldn't you prepare the mood by inviting me to dinner don't you think!?" I exclaim aggravatedly.

"Don't you dare challenge me on that! Don't think I wont!" Gloom responded with a face full of determination.

I leaned in closer to her "Oh you will huh!?" I say, putting that into question, '"Then do it! Come on!!" I exclaimed.

"Well then! Let's make it a date! Wanmin Restaurant in Liyue Harbor!" Gloom exclaims at me, "FINE!" I yell at her, "FINE!!!" She yells back, tossing me away, making me stumble on the ground as she leaves.

Now alone, the realization of what just happens hits me like a ton of bricks, "...Did I just get a date with my rival?" I think outloud before hearing a gasp behind me, seeing Lyney standing there with his jaw hanging open.

"I come here to investigate a commotion and this is what I hear?" He questions, and I'm unsure if he's angry or just surprised.
