On the other side of the battlefield, several figures stood in contemplation.
Leading them was none other than Vali, who had twice been defeated by August.
"It's truly unbelievable that he managed to defeat Fenrir head-on. And that weapon he used... doesn't seem to be a sacred gear." Vali said, her voice tinged with envy as she gazed at August standing with Fenrir below. She had also been eyeing Fenrir, but August had beaten her to it.
Moreover, unlike herself, August had not used any tricks to control Fenrir but had defeated him outright.
This was the God-Devouring Wolf, after all. The scene of Fenrir biting off Loki's head and swallowing it whole was still vivid in her mind.
August was truly bold, not adding any restraints and simply subduing Fenrir. If anything had gone wrong, it could have been disastrous.
The reason the Underworld had so many stray devils, with their numbers increasing, was because reincarnated devils often surpassed their masters and sought to usurp them.
"What should we do next, Vali?" Sun Wukong looking at Vali. With Fenrir now on his side, Sun Wukong was reluctant to face the monstrous August.
"Our goal is gone, and there's no point in staying in the Underworld. Let's go."
Since Fenrir had been taken, Vali could only look for other targets.
"Vali, what about Fenrir's two children? They're still young but have inherited Fenrir's fangs."
"Children? You mean Hati and Skoll, those little wolf cubs?"
"Exactly. Hati and Skoll may not be as strong as Fenrir, but because they're weaker, they might be easier to control. If we nurture them well, they might not reach Fenrir's level, but they won't be far off."
"That's not a bad idea." Vali mused, nodding at Arthur's suggestion. Though they had missed out on Fenrir, his two children were still valuable options.
As Vali pondered how to proceed, Sun Wukong couldn't help but interject.
"What are you all thinking? If you were in his shoes, would you give up Hati and Skoll?"
"What do you mean, Old man?" Arthur asked.
"Those two might be weaker, but they are still undeniably of high-level strength. Even if they don't mean much to him, he isn't alone."
"Explain more clearly." Vali demanded.
"He's married into the devil families... both the Gremory and the Sitri households. Understand now?"
Vali and Arthur immediately grasped the point. Indeed, August might not need them, but others certainly would. Hati and Skoll's potential, combined with their God-Devouring fangs, made them invaluable.
Understanding dawned, and Arthur and Vali exchanged a knowing glance before falling silent.
Finally, Arthur drew his sword, opening a spatial rift, and stepped inside, followed closely by Vali and Sun Wukong.
On the other side, August sensed something and turned to look, but found nothing.
By now, Hati and Skoll had gathered beside Fenrir, clearly delighted to see their father free from Loki's control and restraints.
Boom!
Suddenly, a thunderous noise erupted from the sky above.
Then, within a massive teleportation array, an enormous hammer began to descend slowly.
"August, Mjölnir has been delivered. Catch it!" Odin's voice echoed from the other side of the array, leaving August speechless.
The battle had just ended, and now the delivery?
August made no move, simply watching as the gigantic hammer passed through the array and landed with a resounding crash.
In Lilith, Odin and his entourage were perplexed by August's inaction. But upon seeing Fenrir, along with Hati and Skoll beside him, a shocking realization dawned on them.
Approaching the fallen Mjölnir, August couldn't help but marvel at its size. He wasn't sure about its power, but it was certainly enormous.
This was a Norse artifact, and Odin had lent it to him. Otherwise, August would have loved to add it to his own treasure trove.
'Buzz~'
At that moment, a large teleportation circle lit up, and Sona, Rias, Sairaorg, and their group arrived.
"August, are you alright?" Sona started, but her words trailed off as she saw Fenrir beside August, leaving her speechless.
Fenrir, with his massive frame and twin horns, had regained his full strength. Just standing there, he radiated an aura that filled everyone with awe.
"I'm fine. Fenrir is now one of my peerage."
"Wait, are you saying you've reincarnated Fenrir?"
"Yes, it took eight of my pawn pieces."
Gulp.
Sona, Rias, and Sairaorg all swallowed hard in disbelief.
This was Fenrir, the God-Devouring Wolf, beyond Loki's control, now a part of August's peerage?
"And these two little ones are Fenrir's children, Hati and Skoll. You two can each take one."
August's words stunned everyone. Sairaorg felt a pang of envy... these were the children of the God-Devouring Wolf, and they were being given away? Having a powerful boyfriend certainly had its perks.
Sona and Rias's eyes widened as they looked at the two smaller God-Devouring Wolves beside Fenrir.
"These are for us?"
"Of course. I already have Fenrir, and we're all family. What's mine is yours."
His words moved the two women deeply. If Sairaorg hadn't been there, they might have leaped into August's arms.
"Since Fenrir, Hati, and Skoll are of Norse origin, we should divide the spoils before leaving, to ensure Odin doesn't make any claims."
Sona and Rias couldn't help but laugh at that. August's bluntness about the Norse chief god was audacious.
Sairaorg, having had his fill of the scene, decided to check out Mjölnir and walked over.
"Lord August, is this the Norse artifact, Mjölnir?"
"Yes, it arrived just as I finished my work here. Perfect timing."
Though his tone was sarcastic, everyone chose to ignore it, not taking it seriously.
