“This used to be its nest. There’s no mistaking it.”
A rough male voice could be heard as the speaker glanced around him, an intrigued look on his face.
“If we count this one, then there are four nests already.”
Another voice came from behind him as a blonde woman appeared. She was wearing an adventurer hooded cloak that covered her head. Her violet eyes glanced at the surroundings, following the other person’s gaze and taking in the scenery of the lush green forest, flowing streams, and an expanse of flowers. It should be impossible for such things to thrive, especially when this was a deep cave. Plus, there was a moderate-sized cocoon on a tree in the same area. The cocoon looked like it could be an insect nest.
“Looks like it has to constantly create a nest to adjust the condition of its body,” said the man in the front as he reached out to the empty cocoon.
The inside was still warm and wet with some liquid that still remained. Clearly, the larvae had recently hatched.
