The elevator door opened wide as soon as the sound rang out, revealing the area of the forty-sixth, or the highest, floor to him. The pathway outside the elevator was made of light-filtering glass panes that offered a full view of the sky. Joke could guarantee that when it was night, he could see the stars so clearly that he sometimes felt he could reach out to grab the moon.

The floor was marble, and next to the path was an artificial waterfall that emitted a relaxing sound of water rushing. There were only two rooms on the top floor. One was occupied by Cheewin, who owned this complex. And obviously, the occupant of the other room was none other than… the bespectacled man who was exiting the elevator with a sleepy face!

Joke walked past the wide walkway that had expensive artworks, each cost no less than a million, on both sides of the wall. It was a world apart from the stairs of his old apartment, which was so grimy that he could not see a spot of white paint.
