“Mr. Joke, have you ever considered becoming a pro player?”
An unexpected question came from Klein, who was currently sitting on a sofa in Joke’s apartment. His question caused the bespectacled man, who was half-reclining on his own bed while reading his favorite novel “Detective Coco”, to pause. Rust-colored eyes behind thick-rim glasses glanced toward the man. It seemed like he was much quieter than yesterday.
“Why do you ask?” Joke lowered his book.
“I happened to hear about it from Rose—I mean, Fon—that you don’t have a day job and you rely on doing quests in AOS to sell the cards that you got from them. Actually, it’s the beginning that was shared by many summoners who aim to become pro players. That’s why I wonder whether you’re also determined to become one of the top players in the world or not.”
Then, he gave a wide smile. Joke was silent for a long while before he finally shrugged.
“As of right now, I’ve promised Belle that I’ll take her to the global stage.”
