"Ugh," Alex groaned in frustration as he saw the red battery icon on his phone.
"Looks like it's time to recharge, both myself and my phone," he thought, redirecting his car towards a nearby hotel.
Approaching the reception desk, Alex's hopes were dashed when he heard the news.
"I'm afraid we're fully booked, sir," the waiter explained apologetically.
Alex remained composed, "No problem," he replied calmly, mentally shifting gears to find another solution. With a determined stride, he made his way back to his car.
Surveying his car's fuel gauge, he calculated that there might be enough to run the AC and charge his devices, but he knew he'd have to refuel as soon as dawn broke.
After finishing Susie's dinner, he took off his shirt, leaving only his singlet on, and settled into spending the night in the car.
