Just wow!

Alix was discharged from the hospital and she and her mother headed home. As soon as they drive into the parking lot of Dunice's Mansion Damien happens to drive in too.

"Oh, what a coincidence," Damien chimed in as he went to give his big sister a hug. 

"Hm Damien have missed you," Dunice said as she hugged him back.

Damien I currently doing his masters abroad and still has about six months left to finish. He wasn't supposed to be home but he booked a flight back home the moment he heard of his niece's accident.

"My sweet pie," Damien said to Alix as he crouched down to her level.

"Hope you are well my love," he said while stroking her hair. 

She looked calm….Damien knew that if Alix didn't have an accident she would have jumped to hug him. She was always very cheerful.

"Yes, I'm getting better now," she said in a small voice. 

Hearing this Damien picked her up in his arms and they all headed inside. Damien took Alix to her room and ordered the chef to prepare a meal for her. Seeing that Alix wouldn't eat, he began to feed her. Just then a wide grin appeared on Alix's lips and Damien wondered what was going on.

"Why are you smiling all of a sudden,Weren't you looking gloomy earlier?" Damien asked raising a brow at her. 

"Actually I have something to say," she said as she swung her legs back and forth

"What?" Damien asked curiously.

"I have a dad now! I saw him at the hospital," Alix said excitedly.

Damien wondered how that was possible. Dunice and Alex didn't get back together, did they? Maybe Dunice showed Alix another man just to make her stop asking about her dad Damien thought to himself. He wasn't sure of his speculations so he decided to press further.

"Wow! Alix, that a great news," Damien said forcing a smile.

"Did he tell you his name?" Damien asked.

"Oh no, I forgot to ask but I heard Mama call him Alex," Alix said slowly.

"Our names are similar," she added.

Hearing this Damien's smile flattered. He felt so angry at both Dunice and Alex. How could she forgive him after all he made her gone through? And the worst part is that Dunice didn't say a thing to him. He felt so betrayed.

"Aren't you happy uncle, he seems like a nice person," Alix said in a whisper-like tone.

"Nice person my foot!" Damien thought to himself. Forcing a smile he said.

"No sweet pie, I am was just surprised… Let me feed you before your food gets cold he said as he began to feed Alix.

After he was done feeding Alix Damien went straight to dunice room and barged in without knocking.

"Damien! Why did you barge in, what if I was naked," Dunice exclaimed

"Well you are not," Damien said nonchalantly.

"What do you want and why do you have this serious look on your face?" Dunice queried. Why does she have a bad feeling about this?

"Why didn't you tell me you and Alex got back together," Damien asked without beating around the bush.

"We didn't get back together what are you talking about?" Dunice asked feeling confused.

"Well I don't know but Alix just told me that she now has a father named Alex," Damien said in a doubting tone. 

Damien, Alex was the one who hit the car Alix and Jeffery was riding," she said and she narrated her all encounter with Alex from the hospital up till when he came to see her in her company.

"Wow! Just wow!" Damien laughed and he started to clap his hands suddenly he stopped and his expression turned dead serious.

"He impregnated you, you didn't tell him because he was a jerk and treated you like nobody, you suffered raising the child alone, you worked hard to get to where you are today, and after four years he caused his own child's accident, He caused my niece pain! He caused your daughter pain dunice!! And you let that bastard have access to her that easily. Isn't that stupidity? Damien shouted at the top of his voice as he said all these.

"Shut up! just shut the f**ck up, Damien!!" Dunice screamed. 

"You think it was easy for me? Everyday Alix asks me about her father and I evade her questions," Dunice said as she swallowed the lump in her throat.

"When is the best time to let him have access to her? When she's older? And you think she would accept him easily when she gets older? She would resent him, Damien!" Dunice said as tears welled up her eyes, blurring her vision.

"I know I kept her away from him, but know that fate brought us together I just had to let her know that Alex was her father and accepted happily," Dunice continued.

"No matter what Alex did to me Alix is still his child and if he decided to take the matter to court, the child would remain in my custody but Alex would still be given the permission to see her so what's the point?" Dunice asked as she stated the obvious.

"I made my rules for him to see her, My own f**king rules Damien!" Dunice shouted. 

Tears had begun to flow from her eyes and Damien felt heartbroken. He hated Alex and he doesn't think he would ever stop hating him.

"Fine!" Damien said as his jaws worked. 

"Alix is the limit, don't fall in love with him, and don't ever give him a second chance," he said with a dead expression.

"It's my life, not yours and it's my my own decision to make….now get out of my room," Dunice screamed at him.

She was frustrated. Because of Alex, she had an issue with Jeffery and now Damien. Does things have to go this way? Is it even worth it? she asked herself.

Just then Amber opened the door to Dunice's room. 

"What is going on here?.... I have been hearing you people's voices since the moment I stepped into the compound," she said as her eyes darted back and forth between Dunice and Damien.

Amber was just coming back from the motherless babies home she was managing when she started hearing screams and noises coming from Dunice's room. It seemed she was having a heated argument with someone.

"Ask your daughter, Grandmother," Damien said in a serious tone. 

"Shut up!" Dunice shouted.

"Fall in Love with him again and I'll make sure I kill him, This is not a threat dunice," You might be my sister but I don't think you have any idea of what I'm capable of doing," Damien said in a cold tone.

Saying this Damien stepped out of the room angrily.

Dunice fell to her knees and began to sob and Amber went to her and pulled her in a warm embrace.

"Tell me what happened my dear," Amber asked calmly and Dunice explained to her that Damien was angry because she Introduced Alix to Alex.

Amber was already aware of the fact that Alexander was the cause of the accident and she knew every thing that happened. She understood whatever Dunice was trying to do. She didn't want Alix to lack a father figure while growing up. 

"Don't worry I'll talk some sense Into his head" Amber assured her granddaughter as she stroked her hair and Dunice just wept harder.
