Unexpected Visits

On Sunday, Amanda was home alone with her son Lucas. Even though it was a holiday, William and Kylie went to work as usual.

Lucas ate the biscuits Amanda had made while sitting on the carpet while watching his favorite cartoons. Amanda sat on the sofa to keep the boy company. She was happy to see Lucas so active when watching television.

He laughed and sometimes got angry because of the scenes in the cartoon.

"Mama!"

"Yes dear, what's wrong?" Amanda asked.

"When is Papa coming home? Papa hasn't come home since yesterday," Lucas asked.

Amanda was confused about how to answer, it had been two days since William had returned home because he was on a mission. She herself didn't even know when William would be home because he hadn't answered her messages since yesterday afternoon.

"Maybe tomorrow? I also don't know when Papa will be home. I'll try to ask him later."

"Okay, Mama. Can Lucas have another snack? The biscuits are all gone!"
