Three weeks had passed since her meeting with James, Amanda had not been asked to come to the laboratory in Quespion to supervise the activities of the scientists there. He had told her to come only when he told her to.

Although she would earn a large income from the job, it didn't mean she would quit her job as a café waitress. Amanda was just supervising, not going back to being an agent. She had also said that if something dangerous happened, she would quit the job immediately.

She still wanted to live a healthy life to raise Lucas. Lucas was all she had and Lucas was all Amanda had at the moment. Although he could have been taken by Kylie and raised by her parents, Amanda wanted to stay with her beloved son.

That morning as usual, Amanda prepared breakfast for herself and Lucas. Now that Lucas was about to turn eight months old, he was already actively crawling and sometimes even tried to hold on to a table or chair to stand up.
