Inside the Chen mansion, Chen Xu trotted in angrily. Her body language screamed, Do not talk to me. Do not touch me!

All the other workers quickly avoided her, knowing that any interaction right now could lead to her lashing out. She stomped her way inside, heading directly towards the stairs that led to her room.

Before she could climb, her mother's voice came from behind her.

"What the hell happened? Why do you look like you were beaten black and blue by some unknown people?" Xia Fei's sharp tone echoed.

Chen Xu abruptly turned around, tears welling in her eyes. "Ma... Mommy... they bullied me!"

Xia Fei immediately abandoned the magazine she had been reading. Wearing her seven-inch heels, she trotted quickly toward her daughter and wrapped her in a firm hug.
