"I didn't mean to fail her." Ava said nervously her hands and feet vibrating. "I... I thought I gave her the substance, but It was something else I gave her."
"I understand." The man in a nurse attire said calmly, tucking a strand of her hair bahind her ear. "She's fine now and will be leaving the hospital tonight." He said. "Do you know how hard it was convincing that man to keep her here? Do you know how much your recklessness has cost me?" He gathered a handful of her hair and dragged it downwards with a strong pull for her to yelp.
