THE TRUTH 2

While everyone gathered at the table, General Sui began. "Anna is a spoilt brat who cannot leave without money." Anna's eyes widened at her grandfather's words. Was her father deliberately badmouthing her before Noah so that he would leave her?

Noah smiled at the old man's words glancing at his cure little spending wife. "That's good. I have all the money that she can spend." He said with a straight face.

"She's stubborn and never listens to anyone." General Sui stated.

"Then we fit each other perfectly 'cause I am very stubborn too." Both men stared at each other silently.

"She's lazy. Not bold enough, GETS stepped on easily." He said trying to convince this man to leave his granddaughter. But the man seemed to love all the qualities he just mentioned. These were the qualities Mack hated.

"The lazier the better. I have more than enough maids to tend to her needs, you do not have to worry about her." Noah said nonchalantly and the old man gritted his teeth.

Never did they think a man would be ready to treat Anna this way. Because of her past reputation, all the eligible families in the city denied their children even looking at her. Mack had been the only one available that's why the Sui's entertained his bullshits just so he would marry their daughter.

"She's a celebrity that has the worst reputation in the city." The general stated his narrowed eyes staring at the man who picked one of the fresh tomatoes with his fork and placed it in that of his granddaughter.

"I am aware of that. Anna has thought of restarting her career and I'm assisting her with that." Anna felt less embarrassed by the unfazed Noah who listened to her grandfather badmouth her yet didn't look at her differently. There was this tenderness in his eyes when he glanced at her and it warmed her heart.

General Sui hadn't trusted this man yet. Not wanting to give up yet, he said. "She's used already."

"Grandpa!! Anna called so did his daughters whose confused gaze lingered on him. What was he trying to do by bringing up something that shouldn't even be discussed in the first place? Katie and Grace couldn't tell why their father was suddenly saying all of this.

Didn't he like the man? Is he trying to chase the man away from his granddaughter?

"That's not how I remember it." Noah's tone had turned slightly cold as the anger he had tried to suppress from before was slowly coming back.

Anna who couldn't stay to hear her grandfather's words about her got up and walked away. Noah didn't follow her, he let her take some air as he knew she would want to be left alone. The general seemed unfazed by her action and went on...

"She cheated on her past relationship that's why he left. Are you sure you can handle my granddaughter? She's a cheater." General Sui finally asked Noah seeing the slight frown that had graced the man's face finally. He has been able to break this rude man.

"I wouldn't call it cheating as it was an accident, which I have taken full responsibility for." Noah dabbed his napkin on his lips. He lost his appetite the moment he stepped into the mansion anyway.

"What does that mean?" Katherine asked staring at the man.

"Yes, Mr. You talk as if you were there," Grace said.

"I was there..." He drawled slowly, his deep voice steadily echoing in the dining room and the three people seated with him turned agape.

"You fool!!" The general stamped his hands on the table and Noah's smile widened. He loved the reaction he received from them.

"How dare you come into my house after defiling my daughter." The general spat staring at the man who smiled like he had done nothing. The old man gritted his teeth in anger, his eyes turned red and his nose flared in anger.

If one would look closely they could see angry smokes floating from his head and nose.

This Insolent bastard has been the one setting doubts in his granddaughter's head. Kathy and Grace were shocked as well.

"Who do you think you are?" Katherine could not control her words. This has been the bad Influence Anna has met. She wondered why her niece suddenly grew more stubborn than usual.

"Stay away from Anna you bastard. Guards!! General Sui called and Noah's smile fell. He had tried to be civil with these people, even if staying here was the last thing he wanted to do.

Though he was eager to see the old man that had been disturbing his woman. Now he did see the man he felt like strangling this little man with his bare hands. He reminded him so much of his annoying grandfather.

He tried to accept them because he could see the love his dear wife had for her family but not anymore.

"I've been too deep in this conversation that I forgot to introduce myself. I'm sorry." He turned to Katherine answering her question first.

"I'm Noah Declan, Anna's husband, I bet you didn't know." He smiled and then turned to General Sui.

"How can I stay away from my wife?" He chuckled.

The two sisters and the general were shocked at the man's words. This is the infamous Noah Declan? The man no eyes have seen?

It can't be possible.' Kathy shook her head in disbelief. There's no way this is that man, and what did he say about being Anna's husband?

Were they married?

But when?

It has only been a few days since her niece left their mansion. Did she marry this man in those days?

"What did you say?" General Sui asked Infuriated. His shock had finally settled and replaced by anger.

It would have been better if this man was not a Declan. He hated those people because of what they did to his family.

They had caused them pain and nothing could be done about it because of their position in society at the time. Who would believe that man's grandson would come for his granddaughter?

"Anna is already my wife all we need is your blessings," Noah repeated his words.

"Over my dead body." Kathy howled standing from where she sat. Her niece will never be married to a Declan, those people are the worst. They had killed her brother and his wife. If Vincent Declan didn't kill her brother, he would have been alive now. Anna would have had her parents with her.

Noah being unaware of the situation stared at the family displayed madness before him.

"Then be ready to die." He remarked nonchalantly unable to hold his tongue. Anna was already his wife and nothing will change that, not even if she wanted a divorce herself. He had already decided from the day they had gotten married that they were in it for life no matter the condition.

"How dare you wish death upon us? It's enough you've invaded our house Mr Declan but threatening us is the height of it." Grace spoke up for her sister.

"Guards!! Katherine yelled.

"Don't bother they won't come." Noah chuckled dryly...
