THE MALL 3

Silent glares passed between the four women in the jewelry section of the mall. The air suddenly turned chilly for everyone in there including the sales attendants who stood at a corner watching the scene unfold.

They stared at the woman in a black hat who wore a dim pink dress. Though the dress she had on was a customized limited edition dress, to them it was so last season. They only saw Anna as a poser, one who try to appear rich but isn't at all rich.

"Come over here." Nari called the attention of the shop attendant and the girl walked up to her. It was none other than the girl that had earlier insulted Anna and Janjan a while ago.

"You saw us stand here first right?" She asked and the girl nodded.

"Yes miss Nari. Is there any problem?" The girl asked staring at the black hat woman that had threatened her earlier.

"We were in talks about getting this jewel untill she stole it." Veronica suddenly said. Veronica had fallen in love with the jewel at first glance, she wouldn't let this girl have it, not this time. Not after everything Anna has done to them.

She couldn't believe she had once coerced her son to get back with Anna. Right now all she saw for the young girl is hatred. She had endured and pretended to love her for years because of her stupid inheritance, but it turns out she's not a fool anymore. Veronica saw no need to pretend to like her anymore. Especially since she's no longer willing to marry her son Mack.

"Don't embarrass yourself any further Anna you don't even have the money to pay for that." Nari stated staring at her ex friend with pure hate. If she could, she would have exposed Anna right here and now, but that would also be giving her enough publicity to come back up again.

She had a pure image to keep and wouldn't destroy today.

Nari hasn't forgotten her position right now in the public eyes, and as a top celebrity in the city, any publicity Anna gets from her will be a bonus to her dead career. The last thing Nari wanted was competition to herself.

It took her years to destroy Anna, she didn't want to go through that stress anymore.

"All I'm saying is that I want the jewelry, it belongs to me." Veronica Yong stated glaring at the girl who didn't seem like she cared about their words. She was already attracting the attention of other customers who stopped to see the cause of the sudden commotion.

"Madam why not give them the jewel to avoid more troubles, it doesn't seem like you can afford that jewel. If you want we'll recommend a more cheaper jewelry for you." The sales attendant suggested politely.

Miss Nari was a world class celebrity, one of their most important guest here today. It would be a disaster if she got offended and said something terrible about their mall.

"What makes you think we can't afford the jewel?" Janjan turned to the sales attendant.

"Would you like me to recommend a more qualified job for you since it seems you don't want to keep this?" The girls lips twitched and she pressed her lips together.

She knew she couldn't handle these customers alone so she went ahead to get her superior so as to save her job.

"We all know you have no money to buy that jewel Anna, why are you bent on embarrassing yourself today." Veronica asked and Anna gritted her teeth. She had maintained a good and civil manner since she arrived, but it seems even the devil wanted to tempt her today.

Anna buying the jewel was the last thing on her mind. But it seems she is forced to buy it, just to teach this women some lessons.

The sales attendant came with the manger who was a young man. He smiled on seeing the beautiful and we'll known Nari in his store.

"Oh my goodness it is nice to see you in person miss Nari." The man greeted with the brightest smile and Anna rolled her eyes. She was used to these fake loves. People only now in respect when you're influencial but treat you like trash the moment you become normal.

"Good afternoon fine sir." Nari greeted like a saint.

"Is there any problem?" He asked staring at the other two women who looked nothing less to a commoner.

"Yes kind sir. We stood here first and we're just in talks about getting this jewel when this woman took it away." He turned to look at the strange women in a black hat. She covered her entire body and seemed unrecognizable.

He could tell from her dressing that she was just here not to buy, but to cause trouble between his customers and he didn't like it.

Yes he was asked to treat his customers equally, but people had grades.

"The jewel is $500,000 madam, are you sure you can afford it?" Miss Yong's eyes went wide at the man's words. There's no way she'll be willing to spend half a million dollars for a jewel. Especially now their business was going through a little challenge.

She came here today cause Nari said she needed a little publicity and stunt, not to buy anything.

"I will not spend such amount on that jewelry anymore. Especially since she has touched it with her filthy hands." Veronica spat rolling her eyes as the sales attendants all surrounded her.

"We're so sorry Mrs Yong. How can we satisfy your need? We had no idea your jewel will be taken." Janjan scoffed at the man's words.

"You haven't changed have you? Intimidating the worker who are clearly saying the truth is the new low Anna." Nari crossed her arms on her chest pushing the blame as she always do.

"What can be lower than you?" Anna asked back and Nari blinked. She was done keeping her lips sealed as long as she knew no one would recognize her in this attire.

"You stood to admire the jewel from afar as usual and I got it first isn't that right?" Anna smiled.

"You asked if I had the money to pay for this, but I doubt you have the money yourself." She said staring at both women before her. She's been in this game long to understand everything before her.

"How dare you? Do you know who you're talking to?" Veronica yelled. Anna only smiled at the woman and turned to the manager.

"I will be paying for it now." She raised her hands and one of her maid moved forward stretching the basket in her hands. She placed the red jewel in the basket.

It's not like she valued this jewel, she had more beautiful and expensive ones. When Anna saw it, she had only thought of just looking at it, but Nari and Veronica had tried to embarrass her, using whatever happened between her family against her.

They both thought she is poor without money since her grandfather seized all of her money. But one thing they didn't know was that Anna was not only married to the richest man in the entire country, but she has been given half of everything Noah ever owns. Even she didn't know just how much she was now worth.

She walked to the counter with Janjan behind her ignoring the glares from the woman who still stood at their spot.

Nari and Veronica stared at the woman in a hat and sunglasses with disgust.

"Even at the end, she still let's her pride get the better of her." Veronica said to her daughter in law.

"Don't say anything mother and just let her embarrass herself in peace. It's good we have everything we came for." Said Nari signalling her photographer to leave. This would be another conversation on the news and earn her more fame than ever before.

What people saw was her defending Mrs Yong from a rude wealthy woman who tried to intimidate them. If only people knew it was Anna. She thought.

It would be more than thrilling, but she wouldn't be the one to expose her. Someone else had to do it.

Anna brought out the black card Noah had given her and paid for the Jewel shocking the manager as well as the shop attendant who had looked down on her.

She went ahead to shop for the dress and left the mall.
