Chapter 279 : Mansion

The brick after placing his pendant at the top of it turns into dust. The light was just for show, nothing happened but the brick was dusted after Orion placed his pendant on it. 

His heart almost comes out of his mouth seeing just dust in front of him and he quickly looks into the dust... hoping to find his pendant inside. 

Gladly he did, he found his pendant inside all that dust and also one other thing. 

A Key!

"Okay, key means there has to be a hole where this goes. Just gotta find where." Orion ponders and then remembers the abundant mansion he got this brick from in the first place. 

"Hmm... It's late at night, maybe the best time." Orion thought and then he finally decided to head out. Finally, he had a lead, so it was time to act on it. His condition is as well as it could get right now. 

There is still a problem with headaches but nothing he can't handle. So he stood up and started to move his hands, remembering the place to open a portal to that manor. 

But it didn't work. Blinking he suddenly remembers.

'Ah yes, that place got its own magical barrier, and that was is an ancient one. Tch, one problem after another.' Orion just stood his head in irritation. 

"Fine, whatever, I will fly there." Orion just rolls his eyes as he vanishes from his place with a flash of light.

The next second he appears floating in the air fighting above the Hogwarts castle. He long knew how to fly without brooms but couldn't do it for long due to lack of strong magical power, but now...

"Hmm, I never noticed but the castle looks really beautiful under the moonlight. Though half of the credit goes to the moon as well. It's looking beautiful." Orion can't help but admire the beautiful full moon lighting up the night and the equally beautiful-looking castle below him. 

'Alright then, so where that mansion was again, should be southeast of here.' Orion with some help from the stars finds the right direction and blasts off in that direction.

Merlin taught him too many things and this was one of them.

In less than a second he reaches the speed of Mach 5 or even more. He was literally like Superman at this time. 

The huge air pressure didn't even touch him, his magic protecting him from the pressure. This might be the first time he wasn't actively suppressing his magic, it felt good though he was by no means using his full power either.

'How powerful did I become? What is my current level ?' Orion pondered as he was moving at 5 times the speed of sound.

He found himself not being able to see the depth of his own power now. To some degree, this was exhilarating but at the same time, it was frightening. 

After all a power whose depth even he doesn't know, nor he can control it completely, is dangerous.

Orion long wanted to test out his power, but when your simple diffindo, the cutting charm, which he caster to cut the hand of a single death eater turns into a Sukuna's level cleave without him putting any particular effect into it, yeah it's dangerous. 

Very dangerous.

It didn't take him very long to finally arrive where the abundant mansion was. It was still just as creepy as he remembered. 

He didn't bother wasting time and directly entered the place and started to look around the place. The place was again dusty and was looking like a haunted house by now. 

Sighing he can't help but think.

"Last time I was here to find Vampires, that was still easier than finding a small hole where I can use this key...

I rather first clean this place up to speed up my work." Orion took out his wand. 

For this level of precise magic, he just finds using a wand more useful. Since he has gotten stronger, he lost the excellent magic control he had previously. 

Its really a bargain, control or power. 

Sigh.

Didn't take more than 2 minutes to completely clean the mansion. With this wand, he let out powerful magic fluctuation to clean out all the dust and trash, then with magic, he cleaned the entire place up and well lit it up. 

"Now that's more like it." Orion can't help but look at the good-looking mansion now in front of him and smile at how beautiful the place is and what happened to it later on. 

He then started to look around, searching where place of this mansion.

3 Hours Later. 

He looks at every place, every corner of this mansion. But he couldn't find anywhere this key could be used. 

Right now he was sitting in that hidden office where he first got the brick in the first place. Once again he can't help but admire this office, which was the only place in this mansion which remains clean, warm and fresh even after god knows how many years of going unattended.

"Could be that the key is not intended to be used here in the first place ?" Orion mutters to himself as he tries to ponder where he is going wrong, where could this key be used?" Orion sat on the very comfortable sofa while his mind was in chaos. 

He technically should be sleeping right now, he really needed to catch up with his sleep, but he got excited after finding this key, so he couldn't help but rush here.

Only for finding nothing. 

Defeated and fed up he was about to just sleep there on the couch. As he looked around the office, he found that the place was filled with ancient items and pictures. 

It was really a place cherished by the last owner. It shows how carefully he crafted all the items placed here. 

As sleep was about to consume him, he lay down on the soft. Getting into a comfortable position he was about to fall to asleep but that was when he saw a particular picture. 

This particular picture was of a beautiful woman. 

Seeing this Orion can't help but blink. Narrowing his eyes he suddenly remembers something. While the picture was nothing special seeing how many pictures were in the office but last time when he came here. 

Merlin after seeing this picture acted a little different. And though he won't remember something pointless as that man admiring a girl a thousand years younger than himself he remembers this particular incident only becuase that was the same time he got that brick from here. 

At first, he didn't find anything important here until he finally saw something different about this picture. 

None of the pictures in the office was of a person and almost all were that magical kind of picture which actually moved. 

Only this one was a normal picture. 

'Isn't there is a hidden vault behind a picture? Well, one last time to test out my luck.' Orion sighs as he again moves to see what's behind that picture.

He slowly took out the picture and...

A smirk appears on his face.

"Yup... Lady luck still has not forgotten me."
