Chapter 87 : Rustling
"Merlin! What happened ?" Rose exclaims after seeing Orion.
[Nothing dear, I am totally fine and dandy] Orion muses from his place.
'She isn't talking to you old man and you know it,'
"Nothing, I just fell from the stairs," Orion replied while his left hand was bandaged and there were several cuts on his face and hands. The entire face was swollen and looked like needing medical attention.
"This doesn't look like you fell," Hermione observed the bruises on Orion's body and asked with scepticism.
"I fell many times," that was Orion's reply. And after that, he didn't comment on that topic anymore.
The real reason he was injured was learning the new magic Force Enhancement and Force Speed.
The enhancement part was good enough but learning speed was harder than he anticipated.
He lost count of just how many times he ended up running into a wall or losing control and going head-first on a pillar in the Room Of Requirement.
This irritated Orion to no hell but eventually, he got the hang of it. Even Merlin was sweatdropping at how stubborn Orion could be that even after almost breaking the Room of Requirement he kept on training and ultimately learned the technique, although only barely.
But that is good for him as well considering that after this he will focus on his own training more.
"Oh, that doesn't look good, what happened?" Daphne just arrived and asked Orion.
"I was fighting a Basilik last night and this happened," Orion rolled his eyes and said.
Daphne though unlike herself, looked stunned only for a second but this caught both Orion and Merlin's attention.
'I could practically see Leonardo DiCaprio meme here pointing out that he spotted something sus here,'
[I believe that you should once check her memories you know. I don't doubt that Nick fellow is playing some kind of game and we better know who to trust and who not to] Merlin advice.
'I know but I can't. She is wearing a Heir's right. How the hell am I going to break through that,' Orion asked with a shrug.
But it's not like he didn't have an idea, he instead used something like veritaserum or just caught her when she was not wearing that bloody heir's ring of hers.
[Or maybe, you can just render that ring useless. What do you think] Merlin added.
The Orion's natural line of thoughts immediately caught what Merlin was implying. Absorb the ring power. But he has to find a way to hold her hand for a long period of time. at least 4 to 5 minutes.
That is another issue there.
[There is always the wand to the throat way or you can try to seduce her.] Merlin added.
'Hmm, forcing her doesn't sound right, it will create problems for him in the future if anyone knows. But seducing. Maybe that will work. I might as well try to do that,' Orion made a mental note.
The rest of the breakfast was simple enough, and after that, they had to go to their respective classes.
Today the starting class was Transfiguration.

"Now listen to this carefully, move your wands like this, 1 2 3 Vera Verto" McGonagall showcased while taping her wand over a bird and turning the bird into a glass.
"That was brilliant," someone added.
[Eh, basic stuff. Nothing interesting.] Merlin just shrugged his shoulders.
'Well maybe not interesting but it's necessary. I need to learn those spells if I want to pass my tests. You took away my wand. How the hell I am supposed to do this magic now ?' Orion complained with much ire in his inner voice.
[Oh don't fridge that small stuff. Remember I told you that you can pull off any magic without a wand as long as you have enough magical power and will?
Your will is already off the charts, and now you even have magic on your side. Give it a try. Just do what Professor did here with your fake wand but don't focus on the wand itself. Use your will and tell your magic what to do] Merlin replied, not even paying much attention to him practically making Orion handicap.
Orion not having any other option, took out his wand and did the same, he had a frog as a test subject in front of him. McGonagall refuses to let him use Red. Saying that powerful magical creatures will be much harder to transform.
And ended up giving him a frog.
"Vera Verto" he said but no luck as nothing happened.
"Not like that Mr Ambrosius, tap your wand three times," McGonagall replied.
[Yeah tapping not gonna do shit here, the real problem is that you are unconsciously trying to put your magic through that fake wand. You can't do magic like that. Don't channel magic through the wand] Merlin said again.
'I am trying but it's hard, it happening unconsciously,' Orion replied with frustration on his face.
He saw others already being able to do this magic and knew that as long as he took out his real wand, no matter how weak, he could do the magic.
[Then just ditch the wand bruh, who are you trying to convince that you need a wand anyway? FUCK IT] Merlin added with a snort.
Orion though was not so careless, he had to make a fake wand just to act like he still needed a wand in front of others.
But after seeing just how much this is a problem for him. He just sighed.
'Fine, not like they don't know already that I can do magic without a wand,' Orion shook his head.
So he put his fake wand on one side and stretched his index and middle finger out.
This time, Hermione was sitting beside him and she was the first one to do this magic. Seeing Orion putting his wand down, she wondered whether he had given up.
"Don't worry, you just need some practi..."
"Vera Verto" Before Hermione could finish her words, Orion cast his magic.
And before she knew it, the frog in front of her turned into a perfect glass cup.
"W.. wha... What !" Hermione stuttered to herself. Even McGonagall from the side observing Orion saw this and was gobsmacked.
Complete wandless magic.

McGonagall didn't say anything to Orion immediately but held him back after the class, something which he was getting exceedingly familiar with nowadays.
Anyways he had to give an explanation about his wandless magic, he just ended up saying some bullshit about this technique to increase his magic and make him learn wandless magic and now he is so used to it that it's harder to do magic with a wand.
It was written even in McGonagall's face that she didn't believe him but fuck it. He doesn't care anymore.
"What was that back in the class," Rose asked.
Right now Orion was alone with Rose as they were moving towards the dorms. Ron was not there, maybe already sleeping, Hermione went earlier with Nick, damn that bastard and so with the case with Daphne, Orion have no idea where she went.
After all the class, both Gryffindor were tired and just wanted to go to sleep. Even Orion as his entire body was aching from his earlier practice.
"Nothing, just trying out some hypothesis I have about magic and learning wandless magic, no biggie," Orion just nonchalantly answered.
"You know, I always thought that you might be the real child who survives, you are strong and don't give up. You even saved me back ...." Rose was saying but before that Orion said.
"Okay, I will stop you right there. Don't undersell yourself, Rose. I told this to you even before that. You are an amazing witch. Just believe in yourself," Orion said even before Rose could complete her sentence.
He knew that Rose was feeling self-conscious right now. Not just her, he felt many students would feel self-conscious in front of him. Although no one will say right on his face they are jealous of him.
He would have been too if he faced someone who killed a troll without magic by just a wand to his head at the age of 11 and now a new line of books and brooms just at the age of 12. There is much to be envious about and Orion entirely dedicates this to his grind and Merlin.
"I know, you said that but... but" Rose looked down. She didn't know what exactly she was expecting but she just felt so incompetent.
Savious of the wizarding world, yeah right !!!
She can't even save herself from her aunt and uncle.
"Hmm Orion, will you help .... You know like teach me how you do..."
"Shush" Before Rose can say Orion once again stop her. But this time he noticed that Orion was not even paying attention to her.
'Hey did you hear that ?' Orion asked.
[Hear what ?]
"Rose did you hear that just now, this grinding noise," Orion asked.
"Amm hmm no," Rose was taken aback. She didn't hear anything. Is Orion trying to change the topic because he doesn't want to teach her?
Her mood went even down, but then a forced smile appeared on her face.
"No I didn't hear anything" Rose said once again.
Orion though was not convinced, he believed in his senses always.
He moved towards the nearby wall and put his ear on it. Trying to hear through the wall.
"There is no way I am mistaken, come here and listen," Orion said and signed Rose to come.
Rose now was more confused, did Orion really hear something?
So she came and put her ear on the wall.
"Snarl ey Hunggggerrryyyyy Killlllll
Kill Kill"
Rose's eyes widen to abnormal proportions.
She looked at Orion but he was already looking at the place where the sound was coming from.
"It's going kill," Rose said.
"What, what kill ?" Orion made a confused face and looked at Rose.
"The sound, it's saying that it's gonna kill," Rose said with even more rapid breathing, as the sound was quite malicious to her.
"Are you sure, I only heard the rustling of something?" Orion asked with his mind working several miles a second.
