Chapter 10: A Ghost Came Last Night

"Cute Baby's Daily Life" is all about the adorable contrast between the little buns in different environments, encountering various situations, and reacting differently from adults.

The babies all have unique personalities and quirky ideas. In the last episode, the audience was watching and couldn't help but burst into laughter.

Last time, the show gained a lot of loyal Variety Show fans, who now know the adult guests on the show and are ready to find their favorite cute babies in the live streams and dedicate themselves to following them.

However, these Variety Show fans, who aren't into star chasing, were annoyed by the comments in the live stream.

Some of Su Chenfei's anti-fans started bombarding the live stream with comments and posts about things Su Chenfei had done before the broadcast even started, in an attempt to boycott Su Chenfei's Live Broadcast Room.

The most talked-about accusations were that Su Chenfei had dark circles under his eyes suggestive of drug addiction and that at 17 he had affairs with underage girls. They even directed people to Instagram to learn about Su Chenfei's infamous past and insisted that the little girl he brought to the show was his illegitimate daughter.

[So annoying. The main characters of "Adorable Baby" are the kids, what does it have to do with adults?]

[Are you guys stupid? If Su Chenfei really had a problem, the police would have taken him away by now. What's the point of your comments?]

[The police don't arrest him because he's the son of the richest man, haha, money makes the world go 'round.]

The show hadn't even started, and the arguments were already raging in the comments. The fight continued until 8 o'clock and calmed down only because of the stream splitting up the viewers.

This episode of "Adorable Baby" also features five pairs of adult-child guests, and filming started early in the morning while the guests were still half asleep.

Even though the screen was split into five small screens, when the luxurious Su Family Manor appeared on the screen, many other artists' solo fans couldn't help but click into Su Chenfei's live stream.

The front and back courtyards were as large as soccer fields, and the gardens were filled with roses. The dreamy mansion resembled a castle, with its spiral staircase and modern elevator blending perfectly.

[Help, is this the living environment of the richest family?]

[I feel like I've just arrived at some national park. Such a huge garden, it's so beautiful.]

After showcasing the entire Su Family environment, the camera zoomed into the top floor. Passing through one European-style door after another, a room decorated with pink patterns stood out.

Without a doubt, this was a room prepared for a little girl.

As the door opened, the camera moved forward, walking for a long, long time, before finally reaching the princess bed with pink lace curtains near the floor-to-ceiling windows.

[Is this what a rich person's children's room looks like? I'm jealous.]

[Help, it took 2 minutes of walking just to reach the bed, unlike me, where it takes two steps from the door.]

Two people were sleeping on the bed, one big and one small, both wearing matching strawberry bear short-sleeved pajamas.

The bigger one was naturally Su Chenfei, while the little one was a cute girl with cheeks like red apples. They were both sprawled out asleep, completely unaware of anyone entering the room.

Seeing the stars of the live stream, the comments quickly turned accusatory.

[Hilarious, Qin Tao and his brother have already started their morning run in the live stream next door, and these two are still sleeping?]

[Su Wanku truly lives up to his name, he probably sleeps until 10 a.m. every day, right?]

Qin Tao and Su Chenfei are best friends; Qin Tao likes to involve Su Chenfei in various activities, so the program's crew also placed the live-stream windows of Qin Tao and Su Chenfei side by side.

On one side of the screen, Su Chenfei and the little girl were deep in sleep, oblivious even to the start of the recording and lacking any sense of time. On the other side, Qin Tao was jogging with his brother, slowing down to match his brother's pace, creating a sunny and positive scene.

The contrast couldn't be starker.

The Su Family members watching the live stream in the media room saw the comments and were so annoyed they gritted their teeth.

Saying that Su Chenfei woke up late wasn't a big deal, and though he did say he would get up early but still hadn't, it was fair to call him out. But to mention his little aunt/great-grandmother, how could they accept that?

Immediately, Elder Su took out his mobile phone and used the account he had already registered to post a comment.

Best Little Aunt: [What's the problem with a child waking up a bit late?]

But this comment was quickly drowned out by the barrage of others and didn't make any splash at all.

Among a heap of criticisms, there were a few sporadic positive comments from Variety Show fans.

[This little girl looks so cute, and Su Chenfei looks so handsome too. I, as a face-lover, have decided to stay here!]

[Hahaha, why does Su Chenfei poke his butt up and smack his lips while sleeping? I'm dying of laughter.]

[To those in front, didn't you say that as soon as Su Chenfei appears on camera, he has dark circles under his eyes and looks like he's been doing drugs and overindulging in pleasures? How come he looks so healthy in the frame?]

At that moment, the voice of Old Lady Su could be heard from the screen.

"Seventh grandchild, wake up, the show has begun!" It was a joke, how could they let the seventh grandchild sleep till now if he hadn't insisted on sleeping with his little auntie? Weren't they afraid of waking the little auntie when they came in to rouse the seventh grandchild?

Old Lady Su called out for a while, but Su Chenfei still slept like a pig.

It was Mianmian whose eyelashes trembled and slowly opened her eyes.

Seeing Old Lady Su, she gave a sweet smile, "Good morning, auntie-in-law."

Her voice was sugary sweet and carried a drowsy confusion.

Old Lady Su was smitten! Oh, how adorable could her little niece be?

She wanted to hold Mianmian in her arms as she had gotten used to over the past few days, but remembering that they were live-streaming, she refrained and gently reminded, "Little niece, filming has started."

Mianmian rubbed her eyes with her little hands, sat up on the bed, and said in a tiny voice, "Ok, I'm up now."

She looked towards the dark camera, remembered the training from the past few days, and waved her little paws, "Good morning, everyone. My name is Su Mianmian."

In the frame, the adorable little girl's face still had some baby fat, and her smile was sweet at the corners of her mouth. Her shoulder-length soft hair stood up in a cute cowlick from sleeping all night, making her look incredibly soft and cuddly.

[Ah, this child is really so cute.]

[Why do I find it a bit strange? The kid calls Su Chenfei 'mom' and calls herself 'niece-in-law?']

[Isn't it Su Chenfei's mom who is speaking? She calls this child 'Xiaogu'? But she calls herself 'Mianmian'. Could it be two names?]

The barrage that was furiously against Su Chenfei paused due to the way Old Lady Su and Mianmian addressed each other, with everyone guessing whether these terms of address were what they thought.

By now Mianmian had already put on her little slippers.

Before she could slap, Mianmian held her back.

Little Bun hugged Old Lady Su's neck and whispered, "Last night, a ghost came to see Mianmian and scared the seventh grandchild. Let him sleep a little longer, auntie-in-law."

Last night, after they had turned off the lights and she was sleeping soundly, she was suddenly kicked by the seventh grandchild in her sleep.

Only when she woke up did she see a baby ghost smaller than herself perched on top of the seventh grandchild's head, sucking away his luck. To successfully absorb the luck, it even gave the seventh grandchild nightmares.

The seventh grandchild struggled constantly.

The baby ghost, which she didn't know how long had been there, was only placated after Mianmian dealt with the ghost and drew a Calming Talisman for the seventh grandchild. Then he was able to sleep soundly again and his darkened eyes returned to normal.

Old Lady Su was startled by Mianmian's story.

A ghost last night? No wonder the seventh grandchild had been so determined to get up early but was still sleeping now. There was a good reason for it! She wanted to ask for details, but since they were already live, she had to hold back.

Thinking of the filming schedule given by the program team, they had to film at home until 11 o'clock. The program team's van would arrive precisely at 11 o'clock to take them to the airport and board the plane to the filming location for the show.

Old Lady Su crouched down to explain to Mianmian, "Little niece, your auntie-in-law understands that you care about the seventh grandchild, but the show is important, and now we must wake him up."

Mianmian nodded upon hearing this, "Alright then, let's wake up the seventh grandchild."

When Old Lady Su heard Mianmian agree, she landed a slap on Su Chenfei's butt.

"Owww!!!" The slap was so hard that Su Chenfei howled in pain and sat up in one swift motion.

His pitiful squeal, much like a pig's, showed just how hard his mother had hit him.

The audience couldn't help but laugh out loud, including the anti-fans of Su Chenfei, who sent a long string of hahaha in the barrage.

The one who had mercilessly struck must indeed be his own mother!
