CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE

Beta Lucas' POV

Suddenly there's silence, pure silence.

I could feel it that someone was here... or maybe was here, but whichever, I got spied on.

I'm very much certain it's her, but why would she do such a thing? The last time we were in such close proximity, she acted all cool and reserved like I didn't pass for someone she would bat her lids at twice, talk more of her mate, and now?

I scoff. Absolutely hilarious.

Still dripping wet like an actual waterfall, I go over to the window to peep through. The small square-like iron protector makes it difficult to fix my head out and nab the culprit.

"Who's that?" I'm almost yelling.

I don't get a tangible response, rather I'm greeted with echoes, as my voice reverberates in the cold night's air.

Not like I'm expecting her to rear her head up and give herself away or make catching her red-handed go easy.
