Dead? Who Told You That?

After Dying again, Sibley found herself in the white void where she first met Shiva Samba once again, "Of course I died again... It was too good to be true..." Sibley told herself as she looked around for the God of Gods and she spotted said God looking at a window into Teyvat, "Hey I'm here again." Sibley said to catch her attention, "I know. Wanna watch the show?" Shiva Samba asked pointing to the window, "Show? What show?" Sibley asked looking at the window, seeing Aether and Paimon have a slight freakout, "That's not funny! Like... Not at all!" Sibkey stated a little disturbed by what she was seeing, "It actually is, I mean, that's everyone's reaction when a SpiritCatcher gets inconvenienced." Shiva Samba replied.

Of course Sibley was left a bit shocked by what she was hearing, "INCONVENIENCED!?" She yelled at the God, "I DIED AGAIN!!" She pointed out, "Died? Who told you that?" Shiva Samba asked confused, "What are you talking about!? Can't you see I'm here!? Meaning my soul left my body!?" Sibley broke down so it could be easily understood, " So? Your body is repairing itself you know?" Shiva Samba pointed out, "...Repairing?" The SpiritCatcher repeated confused, "Yeah, didn't you read your profile in the Freedom Matrix?" Shiva Samba asked further confusing Sibley, "What profile!?" She exclaimed.

This made Shiva Samba realize that there was a misunderstanding, "Sibley, SpiritCatchers can't die." She revealed, and this revelation hit Sibley like a truck full of bricks, "What do you mean can't die?" Sibley asked for clarification, "It means your body will keep regenerating even if it's completely erased, and your soul is completely indestructible, even I have would have trouble deleting it due to how resistant it is." Shiva Samba clarified, "Hold on, let's say I'm in Dragon Ball alright? And Zeno just decided to erase me." Sibley gave the hypothetical, "It wouldn't work, you'd regenerate from your soul." Shiva Samba confirmed.

Just as the God finished talking, Sibley blinked and suddenly woke up in the same room where she was at the beginning of her new life, "...Wow..." She muttered as she got up from the bed and walked up to a mirror that's in the room, removing her clothes just to see that the wound she should have had wasn't there, "I really am immortal..." Sibley whispered to herself before her eyes wandered somewhere else, "Are those my ribs?" She wondered before shaking her head and putting her clothes back on, visible bones weren't important right now, what was important is what to do the moment she talked to Aether and Paimon.

She exited the room and went to find wherever the two went, until she eventually found by following the sound of sobbing, going into the librabry to find Aether being consoled by Lisa, and Paimon crying in his arms, "Hey uh... Did I walk in on something?" She asked to try and get their attention, it took a bit for the two to realize who just talked and when they did they quickly looked over to see if it wasn't some trick, "S- Sibley!? You're live!?" Aether said, not as much questioning, but cheering, meanwhile Paimon dashed to Sibley and hugged her, still lightly sobbing, "Turns out I can't die... Ever." She explained surprising Aether and Lisa, "Also the God of Gods found you two despairing funny." She added, "It's really not..." Lisa grimaced, "That's what I said too." Sibley informed while nodding in agreement.

Outside of Mondstat.

"You know? I think this is as good a time as any to finally head over to Liyue." Sibley suggested as she set a waypoint at the entrance of the city, "It definetly is." Aether greed, "Paimon could really use some fresh air after what just happened." She commented wanting to finally be on the way, "Wait the spirit!" Sibley remembered as she accessed the index.

Spirit Index

3. Name: Miller.

Spirit Type: Chaotic Poltergeist.

Information: This spirit used to be a mild-mannered tailor that specialized in hats, it's unknown what caused him to become this bloodthirsty at death.

Sibley read and looked annoyed by something, "What's wrong?" Paimon asked, "I wish I knew what the spirit types mean..." Sibley explained, "To know what each spirit type does, just tap the information icon in the spirit index!" The Matrix suddenly spoke spooking the three, "Does that answer your question?" Aether asked sarcastially, "Yep." Sibley replied not really catching on, "...What does it say?" The Outlander sighed as he asked this, "Let's see... Hider type just remains hidden inside objects causing an uneasy feeling in people... Poltergeist is a type that contols what it possesses, with Chaotic specifically wanting to cause damage... Oh from here things get horrible." Sibley said after reading a bit ahead.

Wanting the other two to see what she was seeing, Sibley projected the information in front of them, letting them read too, "...Assaulter type is a powerful kind of spirit that doesn't need to possess anything to cause damage...? Phantasm type mentally torments people to the point of insanity by haunting buildings? Are all types starting from here this horrifying?" Aether asked a little disturbed by the two descriptions, "Most of them." Sibley confirmed, "Let's be on our way alright?" Paimon requested wanting to be done with the spirits for a while.

"Alright, I might also have a chance to see what this profile thing Shiva Samba mentioned when I got there earlier." Sibley agreed as they began taking hte path outlined by the Fastest Route system. On the way, Sibley requested the Matrix to open her profile and found that is was full of information, "There's a death counter here?" Sibley wondered outloud, making Aether and Paimon realize they should get used to that, "Don't require to eat, drink or use the bathroom... Ranks? Current rank, Novice... Privileges include travel mode, when Fastest Route is active any construct made for transport lasts until the destinatin is reached? Guys! Say goodbye to walking!" Sibley told the two as she began forming something.

Half an Hour Later.

It took a while to finish forming the construct, but when it was finished, the three were exctatic to see how well it worked, "A self moving cart might be one of the best ideas I've ever seen, and you said it'll follow the route we were given?" Aether asked, curiousas to how it worked, "Yep! And it will last until we get there! Best part is I discovered that it was saved in the construct cronology, meaning I can create this exact design again!" Sibley informed happily, "That's awesome! But Paimon's been wondering what the other platforms are for..." Paimon said outloud, looking at the additional platforms.

Instead of answering, Sibley formed a harpoon turret on one of the platforms, "Observe." She instructed as she formed the crosshair she normally uses to scan, but this time it controlled the turret, making it turn to where the crosshair pointed, then she made the crosshair point at a boar, and then tapping a button on the Matrix's screen causing the harpoon to shoot at the boar and reel it in and then dematirializing it into the Matrix's storage, "And then I do whatever I need to." Sibley finished the demonstration, "You're really good at this." Aether complimented, "Thank you! Back in my world I was studying to become a mechanical designer..." Sibley explained before her expression turned somber.

Seeing her expression change, made Aether and Paimon immediatly understand that Sibley still hadn't come to terms with her situation, "I... Sorry, it's just that I realized that now I guess I'll never become a..." Sibley was saying, but didn't finish since it felt like she would start sobbing, the other two stayed quiet not really knowing what to say in this situation, "I don't know what's being going on with me these days, I'm not normally this emotional..." Sibley excused herself, "Freedom Matrix, put on 'God has left the server' by theRussianBadger." She asked the device jokingly to make herself feel better.

"According to itsdenkel, in grouse's chat, 9mm kills the body, but .45 acp kills the soul." The Matrix actually started playing even projecting the screen in front of Sibley, "WHAT!? THIS WORKS!? HO- *Cough! Cough!*" Sibley began coughing due to the abuse that she just put her throat through, "What was that!?" Aether questioned while patting Sibley's back to help her feel better, "It's something from my world! How is this possible!?" She questioned the matrix, which then walked her through the instructions on how to work the Multidimensional Browser.

After she finished the tutorial, Sibley immediatly began smiling, "I can't believe it! I cansee what's going on in my world with this!" She exclaimed as she began looking at the news and her smile immediatly dropped to first a look of shock, then horror, then disappointment, "That's the quickest I've seen anyone change emotions, what's up?" Aether asked in surprise, "So... The movies suck, the economy is in scrambles, there's a war going on, and somehow there's more transphobic people than when I died." Sibley listed the things she read, "And this is only the start." She added with a frown on her face, "What the fuck is wrong with your world?" Aether asked with a worried look, "Everything." Sibley stated before exiting the browser, "At least I can access my world's entertainment, that's already more than I could have asked for." Sibley brought up the bright side.

Wanting to do something fun, Sibley opened up Youtube and looked through some videos, "Is this a social media? I've been to some worlds that have something like this." Aether asked, "More or less, it's people posting videos for views." Sibley broke down, "Is there anything fun? Paimon's bored..." Paimon lamented, "What do you consider fun?" Sibley asked, "I would like to see the history of your world." Aether requested, "Boy do I have the thing!" Sibley exclaimed as she put on a video.

An Hour into the Marathon.

"But the Brezhnev got really old and died, and was replaced by this guy who was really old and died, who was replaced by this guy who was really old and died and he was replaced by Mikhail Gorbachev." The video said as it played, "Leave it to age to fix problems." Aether commented while eating his boar ribs, "You saw what happened to Stalin." Sibley responded, "Paimon's glad he died before anything could happen." The pixie commented before looking around and seeing that they were about to cross a river, "We might have a problem." She warned the others who saw what was about to happen, but Sibley solved it by forming a bridge on the river, "That was solved fast." Aether commented while Paimon went back to her own plate.

At Night.

Sibley formed sleeping bags in the cart so they could get some proper rest, "Man, time flew by while watching that." Paimon realized looking at the night sky, "It's a way to pass the time, it's supposed to be like that." Sibley reassured her, "Say, have they still not found the nuclear bombs lost in the accidents?" Aether asked curious as to the result, "Not as far as I know." Sibley shook her head, "That must suck." The boy said, "It does when you're aware of that fact." The SpiritCatcher agreed, "Anyways, we should probably get to sleep, who knows what will happen tomorrow." She suggested before telling the Matrix to make her sleep in ten seconds, which she used to give the other two a good night, they reciprocated and then went to sleep too.

Now asleep, Sibley didn't notice that something was happening, "Commencing update to Novice model Freedom Matrix." It said as a loading bar appeared and the wiring running through Sibley's arm started rearranging itself.
