Chapter 141 - An Unplanned Beach Episode Since It's Summer. So, Why Not?

"I don't have a good feeling about this…"

"What are you fussing about, Sister? Our ambition is about to reach its conclusion. The grueling work and everyone poured their effort into are about to reach its fruition." The voice spoked with pride and joy filling her voice before it suddenly turned sharp and vicious. "Or perhaps do you have no faith in Lord Friedrich's plan?"

The first shipgirl did not answer as she looked at the blond one with pity as her eyes turned back to the tower in the distance, erected in the middle of a misty sea and its height reaching the cloud above.

"Hmph. If not because you are useful, you would have long been disposed of, traitor."

Hearing this, her body trembles in anger as the face of her several allies flashes through her mind. Especially a certain platinum blond destroyer and the loyal to fault submarine.

Seeing no reaction gained from her taunting, Admiral Hipper made a disdainful snort before she walked away, leaving Prinz Eugen alone staring at the tower. Then a sudden strong wind from the sea blew at her, leaving a salty sensation on her lips. She licked her lips but remained immobile. After all, what else can she do? Their fate had already been sealed.

Since that day a mysterious black and crimson cube unlike the Siren's Black Cube was recovered by her and Roon. When she surrendered the cube to Friedrich der Große, she changed as if possessed by something. Nothing happens at first but when the sign is showing, it's already too late. Friedrich suddenly started a coup and seized power from Bismarck who was swiftly being executed along with the other who isn't part of Friedrich's group of brainwashed shipgirls.

As for why she is still alive and spared, she honestly didn't really know or care. Something about her is a useful tool and a vessel something. She had long given up her hope and just wish this torture would end soon.

Then suddenly she heard a weird sound from below her, which is a floating platform above the sea which is part of the support for the Ascension Tower.

The more time goes by, the louder the noise becomes as if something is climbing up to the platform.

She wanted to wish it's someone trying to break her out from here. However, she is too afraid to hope anymore and left even more disappointed and also guilty for yet another deaths of her allies.

Feeling weak and tired because she was starved and basically chained to a steel beam and exposed to the elements for who knows how long. She closed her eyes and immediately dozed off before she could hear a familiar yet strange voice beckoning her. Foreign memories played out in her dream which evoke feelings of familiarity.

'I… ho… Eugen' A voice said and she turned around to see a faceless figure in white uniform smiled and waved at her before hugging her and she hugged him back with a feeling of joy. 'Wel… Shikk…' She said and then the scene changed.

Instead of an office, it's a familiar war room. She spotted many familiar faces. They were the faction leaders and the faceless figure. They discussed something with immense urgency. However, all that she could hear were messed up jumbles of voices.

Then the scene changed again to that of a horrific battlefield. The sea itself dyed red like blood along with the sky as numerous KANSEN fought to the bitter end. They were fighting some sort of foggy creature which was proven too strong for them and they started losing numbers rapidly until one of them exploded into a dark light and turned into a darker version of themselves, gaining power in exchange of their degrading mental state.

Some outright went crazy while few managed to grip their sanity and control their power instead of turning into a berserker and succumbed to their desire for violence.

On Mars, with Siren's collaboration. The planetary sized industrial complex were completed in under two weeks which is crazy considering Adam expects it would take him more than a year to finish even with his army of mechs and robots tirelessly working to build it.

Siren capability with technology is baffling to say the least. As if they were a race sentient tech, capable of bending them to their will, almost like the First Herrscher.

Anyway, with the whole Mars now turned into basically his personal planet-sized factory. The first order of action is the production of the 12 Orbital Fortresses based on an improved blueprint uses the best and latest technology acquired by Adam either by scientific breakthrough or taken from somewhere like the Rutherford gravitational field powered by G-Element produced by the BETAs for the extra oomph or the technology of Previous Era civilization from Honkaiverse he had access to thank to owning Void Archive.

His current Orbital Fortress was also brought to the shipyard in Mars to be retrofitted with the updated techs to match the newly produced ones.

If everything goes according to plan, all preparation will be completed in another two months!

With Adam.

Today, he was at the beach, enjoying a vacation, he supposed. He isn't alone either and obviously as he would come to relax on a beach on his own. He isn't a fan of the outdoors.

So, it all started yesterday. He, Tina, Alices and his wives were together watching anime after dinner. As for why anime in particular? Well, he didn't know what else he can enjoy with everyone other than watching TV and he only ever watched anime. Thankfully Anime does exist in this world although with none of the familiar titles he once used to.

Then one of the scenes depicts the characters enjoying a summer vacation which caught Alice's interest. Her ears immediately perked up and rose up from his lap before turning along with her dummies to look at him.

Adam didn't even need to use The Almighty or his Observation Haki's future sight to see what coming next.

"Master! Master! Can we—"

"Sure." He sighed while rubbing her hair which caused her to shift her head so he would scratch the more pleasurable spot like around her ears.

"It's not a bad idea to have a vacation and loosen up once in a while. We had been working routinely non-stop for the past few months without rest." Winter said as exhaustion suddenly returned to her body as she craved a vacation.

Jalter agreed it's not a bad idea too while Angie was already getting started with the planning. Starting from finding a proper location that can accommodate all of them considering those shipgirls will definitely be joining too.

As for Tina, she is already at the age where she is subconscious about herself and worried about what to wear with such a sudden decision that she has no time to plan and prepare at all.

Well, it started from that moment and the next day, Adam with his companions, including Siegfried and Kriemhild, the Bambies, the Arrancars, Sirin and Bella and then a big portion of the shipgirls, all enjoying a pleasant and stress free summer vacation in the desolated Caribbean beach.

Thanks to the Siren invasion, most settlements near the shore had been abandoned and that meant they had the entire beach to themselves without any interruption.

Everyone dressed out in their summer outfits, majority in swimsuits. But not all did. Some dressed modestly. But some dressed in rather extreme and borderline nude outfits like for example Taihou and Formidable who dressed in what's basically strings with a patch of fabric that covers the important bits. Or Nagato who he least expected would pull this kind of stuff but she dressed normally for the bottom part but her top is basically a see through, almost transparent pinkish camisole that display her

Well, he kinda anticipated this considering they are offering such generous fanservice even in game. He ignored them and didn't let it disturb his mind because he had a group of hyperactive girls to entertain.

"Haap!" One of the five Alices chasing after the thrown frisbee, leapt up to the air gracefully and caught it with her mouth before she landed on her legs and cheered excitedly.

"Not fair! Me next!"

"No, it's me!"

"Me!"

"Me!"

The other four were unsatisfied and wanted their turn next and fights were about to happen when Adam immediately interjected them.

"Alright. No need to fight, girls." Adam produced four more and threw each of them before they scattered to fetch their own instead of fighting for that one.

Suddenly Ayanami, Javelin, Laffey and Unicorn come around with Tina challenging Alices to a beach volleyball fight. Laffey for some reason looked strangely energetic and raring for the match.

Meanwhile his wives decided to lay under the shade of their beach umbrella, offering a chance to get a little intimate by applying sunscreen on them. Adam, not being the one to turn away meat served to him on a silver platter, took the opportunity. One led to another and it ended up with all four of them disappearing for at least two hours, undoubtedly for some 'physical exercise'.

Meanwhile outside his supervision, some girls went for even more extreme games like game of tags except everyone moved beyond speed of sound or diving from thousands of meters high with the help of aircraft, air surfing on planes and many more.

Some are playing safer games like the usual splitting watermelon blind folded, building sandcastles, playing sports or simply sunbathing. But they are the minority.

Queen Elizabeth for example is having fun with her Royal Maid squad, building her a magnificent sandcastle worthy of a queen.

Then there's the Royal Ladies having a tea party. Elegantly in swimsuits. On a beach. Under a wide parasol. With some Sakura Empire shipgirl. Hey, at least they are better than the Northern Parliament girls drinking vodka under a scorching summer sun.

Also there's Purifier that decided to ditch the construction work on Mars to join Adam and co who is having fun without her. But because of the bad timing, she follows his presence to the far side of the beach, behind a large boulder and stumbles upon an accidental voyeurism and an unforgettable memory that gives her a strange mix of emotional cocktail that may or may not be called, Sex on the Beach.

Anyway, everyone is having their own fun since it's a vacation meant for them to relax and have fun in their own ways while they can because the day of reckoning is swiftly approaching.
