Chapter 25 - Heil Mein Fuhrer

(Eh, not 100 pwr ston but I feel a little generous and completed this chapter for you all. Enjoy ~)

(Btw just to clarify, the title didn't refer to Hitler. Heil Mein Fuhrer = Salute to the Leader. It was supposed to be a meme which refer to what happened in this chapter.)

"Are you sure we should just walk in through the front door?" Adam looked at Agent doubtfully when she proposed it.

""Don't worry, Master. Our allies had infiltrated the government and recruited many to our cause. It's safe to say half of them are on our side." Agent replied confidently.

Adam was surprised but she didn't show it on his face. Agent is simply too competent and diligent that he fears the day she will turn on him.

"Alright, ladies. Let's go." Agent gave her order to the rest of the T-Dolls and looked at the Parliament House which was oddly too quiet. Since a coup is literally happening right now, she expects it to be a little bit more chaotic.

'It's odd.' Agent thought but it didn't interfere with the plan.

Besides the front gate where Adam and everyone is, the Dummies of the T-Dolls are also placed around the Parliament House to surround it and encircle the place to ensure the purge went without a hitch and eliminate all the politicians and government officials that didn't side with them will be eliminated to prevent them from causing instability to the new government later.

To cut the grass from the root, so to speak.

Without much dallying, Adam, Agent, Alice, Executioner and Destroyer stormed the Parliament House that was supposed to have all the members attending today for a meeting on how to deal with the outbreak in Reach.

However, the moment they entered the building…

"Master, I smell blood. A lot of blood." Alice stopped them and said before she pointed at the dark hallway because all the light is shut off for some reason.

"I can see that." Adam replied with a shudder as his augmented vision can pierce through the darkness to see everything like it's daytime.

He can see blood staining the wall, floor, furniture, etc. Literally like something is washing it with blood inside of water.

"Like a massacre just happened here. But without any bodies." Adam was curious about the lack of corpses despite all the blood.

"Master, our allies are requesting help. They were deep inside the building and they were being wiped out by someone." Agent informed after receiving a transmission.

"Alright, let's go then." Adam nods and leads the charge into the building following his minimap.

———

Inside the depth of the Parliament House, Ozpin faced against the members of the council with countless corpses already stewern around either from the guards, interlopers and politicians.

Believe it or not, most of the corpses here aren't caused by him but by the interlopers. Ozpin felt a little odd that there would be a sudden coup taking place that he is unaware of. But it made his job a little easier. Because now he has the pigs shivering in front of him begging for mercy.

"Wait! Please, we are wrong! I will retract the conscription order immediately."

"It's too late now. It's far too late to change and none of you have what it takes to stop what will happen soon." Ozpin couldn't even muster his anger as he instead pitied those councilmens. Their use had run out. Their presence must be eliminated for a new order to be established. An order capable of withstanding what had befalls humanity.

"Consider this a mercy from me for everything you all had done to bring Vale to its current prosperity." Ozpin mutters before giving all five of them a swift end.

*Bang!*

The door was suddenly slammed open and dozens of armed people swarming into the room and then look at the dead councilmens and then at Ozpin with a confused look.

"Hold your fire." The leader stopped his mens before he looked at Ozpin. "Identity yourself! Which group are you from? I don't remember seeing your face before." The leader asked with a slight wary look especially at Ozpin's weapon which is a mechashift weapon, a badge of identification basically, as a Huntsman.

"Me?" Ozpin look a little confused and wonder maybe he had been a little too isolated that people didn't even recognise his face anymore. "I am Professor Ozpin, the Headmaster if Beacon."

"Huh? Why is the Headmaster doing here? Not to mention killing the councilmen?" The leader is a little confused.

"How about you? Who are you people?" Ozpin asked curiously and a little hopeful.

"We are the the Vale Liberation Army, we are staging an uprising against the corrupted Councilmens that hide the truth in Reach from the people to save themselves and condemning millions of innocent to their death." The leader declared pridefully for fighting for a noble cause.

"I see. Rest assure then, I am not your enemy." Ozpin said and put on a sad face. "You see. I was forced to do this because the council forcefully conscripting children in my academy and sending them to their death."

"Oh! Fellow compatriot! Don't worry, I will inform the leader about your great contribution." The leader immediately see Ozpin as a member of their cause.

"Alright." Ozpin nods and wait.

He really want to know the mastermind behind this coup. If there is someone capable and with a right goal, he will support that person as the new leader to replace the Council instead of having to come out of his retirement as the King of Vale to restore order to Vale.

———

"Hmn? What!" Agent sounded a little surprised and afraid for a moment before she calmed down.

"I see. Alright, stay where you are. I will arrive in another moment." Agent said and ended the transmission.

"What happened, Agent? Did something go wrong? You sounded a little shocked." Adam asks.

"No. The plan went very well. The targets have been eliminated and the remnants of the old government are fleeing but Master doesn't need to worry. I already arranged it."

"Alright…" Adam sounded a little confused.

He geared up ready for a fight yet the coup ended without him even meeting an enemy. Agent is too efficient with her job. Which he understands well as she takes pride in completing everything perfectly.

"Are you sure? Don't we need to chase down the remnants too?"

"No need, Master. As I said, I already arranged it. Our Dummies will take care of it." Agent said a little too defensively while the other nodded in agreement.

"Anyway, Master. There is an unexpected helper. He identified himself as the Headmaster of Beacon and the people on the site confirmed he is indeed Professor Ozpin. He requested an audience with you, Master." Agent tried to change the topic when Adam looked uncomfortable with their outright denial of him taking any action.

Adam himself thought maybe his close brush with death made them a little protective of him. Which he appreciates greatly. But he felt like he was useless for not contributing anything to the plan.

"Headmaster of Beacon… Let's meet him then." Adam decided after he remembered the list of significant people he made from a little research session on people that are useful to his cause. Professor Ozpin is one of the people he researched.

Few minutes of navigating this massive building later, Adam and his entourage arrived at the location and saw quite a lot of people inside. Professor Ozpin, he immediately recognised, is standing at one corner. He sat relaxed and seemed to be in deep thoughts until their arrival which garnered his curious gaze especially on the T-Dolls. Adam was afraid that Ozpin might notice the nature of his inhuman companions.

Agent first greeted the leaders of each team of rebels. Most are just normal civilians that took arms while some are Huntsmen that joined the cause. But both groups are united with the same reason, their dissatisfaction with the Council's decision to abandon their people to prioritize themselves after they learned the truth of what happened in Reach.

When Agent is done settling the leaders and their cells of rebellion fighters. She set them aside and finally addressed Ozpin.

"So, you are Professor Ozpin." Agent asked for the sake of courtesy while she evaluated the man in front of him if he was a danger or useful tool.

"Indeed I am and I am supportive of your cause. I had taken some time to learn about the cause of your group from those gentlemen." He gestured at the leaders.

But before they could continue, Adam stepped forward to take over the talk. He wanted to at least have this negotiation as his contribution.

"Greetings, Professor Ozpin. My name is Adam. Adam White." Adam extended his hand out which Ozpin accepted and they shook hands for a moment.

"Adam White? Sorry, but I don't think I have heard of your name before in Vale." Ozpin replied with a little confusion as he can't recall anyone significant with such a name.

"It's alright. I am rather new to Vale. It's natural for you to not know my name."

"New, you said? Hmn… I apologize but can I take a look at your face?" Ozpin asked because Adam has his gas mask on which covers his entire head along with the helmet.

Adam agrees and undoes his gas mask which reveals his face and some lock of his white hair. Along with his light blue pupils, Ozpin immediately remembered the Schnees. Adam would fit perfectly as a Schnee but he introduced his last name as White instead of Schnee which confuses Ozpin but he put it aside for now.

"Hmn… I see. Alright then, we wasted enough time. I wanted to support your cause. But before that, I wished to know of your goal and plan in more detail if that is possible."

"Of course, Professor Ozpin." Adam agreed but suggested they change the venue first as the current room is unsuitable for a talk with the room piled with corpses and painted with blood.

But instead, Agent said they have a tight schedule as they must make a live broadcast to consolidate their success of the coup and immediately address the Zombie Outbreak before others can capitalize their effort and potentially causing them trouble in the long run.

So, they exit the Parliament House. Along the way, Adam told Ozpin the information he asked for while the camera crews of multiple media and broadcast station's is setting up their equipment and Agent is preparing the stage.

"I see." Ozpin replied after hearing what Adam said. "I won't pry about this organization you talked about. Since they wished to remain a secret."

Ozpin is unconvinced that such an organization existed because throughout the millennia he spent alive, he never heard about this technologically advanced organization before. Seemingly capable of creating something, even Atlas, that is filled with the brightest mind of all Remnants struggle to create, an artificial human similar to Penny Polendina with an entirely different kind of technology used by the entire world.

If such an organization existed, he would definitely have heard some form of rumor at the very least. But no, it felt like it came out of thin air. However, that didn't matter. From what he judged of Adam, Adam is very sincere about his goal to eliminate the Outbreak. Almost too good to be true. An amnesiac man, with the guidance of this shadowy organization, set off to eliminate the Outbreak. The problem is the organization behind Adam who remained an enigma for Ozpin.

Therefore, although he cannot trust the organization. He will, however, trust Adam and let the results of his work speak of Ozpin's decision.

———

At exactly 10:30 am, a live emergency broadcast appeared on all devices including TVs and Scrolls all across the Kingdom of Vale.

First is the declaration of the coup which overthrew the old corrupted government. All the deeds made by the Councils had come to light. The deliberate censorship of truth about what happened in Reach, the decision to turn Reach and it's population along with numerous Huntsmen that participated the battle that day into scapegoat and left to death, the forceful conscription of children in the academy, everything even including the plan to condemn the entire city of Vale by the elites and wealthy.

The moment the announcement ended, an outrage and chaos city wide as they went on a medieval witch hunt style, manhunt to capture those mentioned elite and wealthy including the members of the old government. Those captured criminals were swiftly hanged on a stake and burned for their transgression against the people.

Meanwhile Adam is showered with praise and support by the people for being the hero that brought the corrupts to light and delivered them punishment.

This positive support allowed Adam to garner even more support from the population once all his plan and goal to resolve the Outbreak was proposed. With the support of Professor Ozpin, who Adam didn't know had great influence, the approval of the people of Vale is at an all time high.

With that much support, the establishment of his militaristic totalitarian autocratic regime went smoothly which on normal circumstances is impossible but through a script Agent prepared, he explain to the masses that this kind of governmental structure is vital to ensure the Kingdom of Vale can work as one synchronized machine with singular authoritative figure in decision making to combat the outbreak instead of an incompetent and slow democratic government with numerous level of decision making and not to mention the possibility of corrupt people infiltrating the government again.

On this very day, Adam is appointed the new Head of the Nation, the Supreme Leader. The man that will hold the absolute civil and military power of the Kingdom of Vale, a king in all but name.
