I kind of think that he is the type of person that if her dad doesn’t get rich because he messed with the timeline, he would probably abandon her. I’m not getting any impression that he is trying sincerely to understand / learn about her, just trying to brute force a relationship for benefits only. I hope I’m wrong though and he gets better.
