Chapter 47: Fan Girls

"I don't get you, just what do you see in that guy anyway?"

It was lunch break and Claudia seemed to be getting an earful from Jessica because of what she did earlier in the classroom.

She had been trying to write it off as nothing since yesterday but after that, she wanted to get to the root of what was going on exactly so she asked her roommate but instead of answering her questions, Claudia decided to take her somewhere, she decided to take her to the school garden.

"I don't see the point of coming here." She remarked just as they walked into the area.

"Shhhh." Claudia gestured to her to keep her voice down. "You can talk but keep it down."

Jessica stared at her for a while before letting out a sigh as she shook her head.

"And just what are we doing here?" She inquired.

"Just follow me." She responded before moving toward the taller flowers in front of the storage house.

It didn't take long for Jessica to figure out what they were doing there as she could see Arsha sitting in front of the storage house, but he wasn't alone.

"Of course, we're here because of him." She sighed. "And why's she with him?"

The person she was talking about was none other than Maya, she was there with her lunchbox and it looked like she was trying to get him to eat something again.

"Hey, come on, you need food to get back everything you lost yesterday."

He seemed to be refusing just like always and now she was using him being hospitalised yesterday to be insistent.

He found it hard to argue with that but he was still reluctant to take the sandwich from her.

"Hey come on, even just a bite." She said pushing the sandwich closer to him.

'If I didn't know her, I would think she put something in there but she just wants me to eat.' He sighed inwardly.

"Fine." He muttered before taking the sandwich from her. "I'll eat it." He added before taking a bite from it.

"I don't know what you're trying to show me here but hanging around that guy is only going to end badly for you," Jessica said, maintaining her stand.

"Well, I say you're wrong," Claudia responded with her gaze still on them. "Does he really look like someone to hurt people intentionally?"

"What? Have you forgotten what he did to Aqua?"

"That was in a duel, either of them could have hurt each other." She retorted.

"Maybe that's true but he also threatened to melt your hands off yesterday."

"I think coming to my rescue twice very much makes up for that." She responded before turning to her. "And besides, I don't think he meant that."

"Seriously?"

Jessica was quite baffled because she didn't expect her to say something like that with what she saw yesterday.

"Yes, seriously." She responded with a nod. "Look, all I'm saying is try to judge him from an unbiased point of view and not follow what everyone says about him. Arsha isn't the Demon everyone makes him out to be. Well, he can be scary sometimes but that's just the way he is."

"I can't believe it." Jessica gasped.

"I don't see what's there not to believe."

Jessica stood there staring at her roommate believing that she could understand her by looking hard enough but there was really nothing there for her to see.

"Fine." She sighed. "I'll try to look at things your way but don't say I didn't warn you when it happens."

"Nothing's going to happen." Claudia smiled.

"Yeah, whatever you say. But that aside, aren't you upset seeing her with him like that?"

"Huh, I don't understand, why should I be upset?"

"Seriously? Don't you have a crush on him?" She asked.

"A crush?"

She wasn't too quick to answer that question and kept her gaze on her roommate for a while before turning back to Arsha and Maya.

"No, I don't think I look at him that way." She shook her head.

"Seriously?"

"Yeah, I'm just glad that Maya doesn't treat him like everyone else."

"Sure, whatever you say, I'm leaving now."

She felt a sense of relief as she turned around to walk away and before she knew it, she was smiling.

"I'm coming," Claudia said quickly following her from behind.

__________ __________

Hours went by to present a new day to the students of Aigis Academy and the people of Elevor of course.

It was the weekend, the only time the students were allowed to leave the Academy without their uniforms but they were expected to have their watches on them of course.

They were also allowed to wear those casual clothes in the Academy.

With no schedules to keep up to, the students practically started their day at their own pace, well, except for the fact that everyone had to claim their breakfast at the cafeteria before 9:00 AM.

Because of this breakfast schedule, the cafeteria was usually flooded by 8:00 AM every weekend and this weekend was no exception.

The cafeteria was filled with lots of students most of them in casual outfits making the ones in uniform look like the odd ones out.

Arsha was one of those odd ones out as he stepped into the cafeteria in his uniform.

Well, he was going to be gone in a few minutes anyway, he was only there because the vending machine outside wasn't working so he was going to try the one in here.

Like always, he ignored everything that was going on around him and made his way to the vending machine with the coin in his hand.

It was pretty convenient for him that it was close to the entrance.

Just as he threw the coin into the coin slot, a familiar scent flew past him with the wind.

He quickly turned to his left at that moment to see that it was Claudia just like he thought but she wasn't alone, there were three other girls walking with her, they were all in casual outfits while she was in her uniform.

"I know those three." He muttered.

The four of them picked up their food from the counter and found themselves a seat.

It was more like Claudia found herself a seat and they followed her staring at her the whole time.

Claudia had no idea she had fan girls among her classmates until these three showed up.

It was sort of funny in this situation because while she was dressed like she always did with little to no makeup, they were dressed excessively with pretty clothes and enough makeup to make them look prettier than they actually were.

To put it simply, they stood out way more than she did in this situation and she stuck out like a sore thumb sitting with them.

The blonde one seemed to be the one leading the charge, the one with short dark hair seemed to be doing well to support her and the one with long dark hair wasn't saying much.

"You're really awesome, Claudia, I hope I'll be able to reach your level one day." The blonde one said with an ecstatic look on her face.

"Yeah, but sometimes it feels like you're in a completely different world." The short hair commented.

"That's not true, it's not that hard to get here." She replied as she continuously stabbed her food with the fork in her hand.

She was blushing but it was also obvious that she was uncomfortable with the current situation.

"Well, until we reach there I guess all we can do is ask for help." The blonde one remarked.

That comment seemed to have piqued Claudia's curiosity as she suddenly turned to her.

"What do you need help with?"

"We don't know if you can help, but we need help taking down a beast, a master-tier beast." She disclosed.

"Master tier?" She muttered as images of what happened the first time she faced one of those suddenly came flooding back to her memory.
