Ziza had half a mind to throw her serviette on the table and storm out of the place. But her stomach felt like it was having itself for lunch, while her favourite meal sat perfectly on the plate beneath her nose. Looking so good and so tempting. Plus, it was free.

With that thought, her plate won her over. Throwing caution to the wind, she muttered, ‘what the hell,’ before digging in. For a while they ate in silence, as if they both had a lot on their minds. At least more so in Rafiq’s case than hers, if the persistent line between his brows was anything to go by. Almost as if he worried about something, or perhaps Ziza was reading too much into something. Whatever it was, it was none of her business, she shrugged. Though it made her wonder a lot of things… too. What was he thinking about so much that had him acting… weird? Weirder than usual.
