Chapter - 1

Two men in business suits were standing in front of an area surrounded by yellow tape. A third man in a suit joined them. The first man asked, "What have you learned?"

The third man answered, "Well it seems earlier today four members from our board tried to force the engineer to use a burnt and twisted piece of machinery in the construction of The Happy Man as a cost cutting measure. The engineer refused, claiming most of the work was already finished."

The first was surprised and said, "We gave him this restoration and commission job last week, is he really almost done?" The second man chimed in, "He most likely said that as a way to politely refuse."

The third man said, "I checked, he really already finished with everything when they approached him. They hadn't expected him to finish because as it turns out, those four had been showing up every other day with either new requests, alterations, or even added commissions." The other two men looked confused and disturbed by what they were being told. The third man continued, "Evidently after the initial refusal they decided to take matters into their own hands." As the conversation continued a gurney carrying a covered body passed by them. The first asked, "How long before we can collect are animatronics?" Third looked at the gurney then said, "Technically the police tape is a formality, the cops consider this pretty much open and shut, there was a recording of what happened, it even had audio of those four idiots rambling proving that they were insane and proving we had nothing to do with this. That body being pulled out was the engineer's oldest kid. It seems the kid had walked in on them attempting to graph the earlier mentioned machinery and they killed him to keep him quiet. That act had triggered their secret commission the Nightmare Crew."

The other two nodded and then the first one said, "Let's go meet the new additions to the Fazbear family and determine how to deal with them."

He found himself struggling to regain consciousness. He heard voices of in the distance. Suddenly he heard a much louder voice scream from within.

"NO! This was supposed to be my new shell! This was supposed to be my way back! My Chance at LIFE!"

The voice continued to scream denials until it faded away. His eyes suddenly shot open, and he found himself standing up. Three men in suits jumped back. One laughed nervously saying, "Well isn't he an energetic one." While looking at the three men he felt compelled to say, "Why, hello there. How may I help you?"

The three men looked at each other, smiled and nodded. Then one said, "Can you please introduce yourself and state your purpose?" He once again felt compelled to answer and say, "Of course, I am the Happy Man, my purpose is to ensure the happiness and safety of all those who are treasured customers of Fazbear Entertainment. During the day, my job is to ensure customer satisfaction and safety. While at night, I and my little helpers clean and maintain both the pizza-plex and its stars. While making sure no individual is still there after hours."

The men suddenly got a confused look and one asked, "Little helpers?" Suddenly aware of the cane in his hand, he used it to tap the ground twice. A single robot walked up. It went up to his knees.

H.M. then said, "Don't let their size fool you, these little miracles can do it all. From simple cleaning to heavy construction these little miracle workers were key in the restoration of the Fazbear Family." One of the suits' faces lit up, he pulled out his phone, tapped a few times and then asked, "How long would it take you and your little helpers to build something like this?"

The other two gave a look of doubt, then H.M. said, "Hmm... Well, it depends on location, weather, and potential of sabotage or any other form of hindrance. For example, if we were to build here in this town it, with its sure to be hostile protesters... one month." The three suddenly shared looks of excitement and started talking about the pre-approved locations.

Apparently, they had three options, all far from this town where they have such a long and unpleasant history. The first man said, "Our first option, is a small town called Heatherfield. The town is giving us an okay deal, but they're not really desperate for new business. There has also been a number of weird occurrences going on there lately, from people disappearing to other odd occurrences." The other two shook their heads and saying with their company's past reputation, they would be tempting fate too much for comfort. The second man spoke up and said, "Our second option, a coastal town called Crystal Cove. They are desperate for a stable tourist attraction and are offering a very good deal financially speaking. Of course, the negative is that they have a interesting crime problem. Evidently, the people there when they come across businesses or people they don't like will dress up as some kind of monster and sabotage you. They do have a group there called Mystery Inc. who will solve such problems for free." The other two thought for a moment, then one said, "We have way too many skeletons in are closet for a chance that investigators might show up at any time and uncover."

The third man said, "Our last option is a town called Middleton. It's part of a larger metropolitan area, which includes the neighboring cities of Upperton and Lowerton. No real crime to speak of it also home to a noteworthy surgical hospital, with some world-renowned brain surgeons, and a space center that works in the very latest in space-age technology. However, since we're not offering any new jobs, they are not offering any significant financial benefit." The other two looked at each, thinking hard for a moment, and then said, "We can live with that." The third man turned to H.M. and asked, "How long would it take in Middleton, USA?"

H.M. ran the calculations and then answered, "It would take us eight days." The men eyes glowed as they started talking about the benefits from such things. They left talking about getting everything ready to move to the new location by tomorrow. But before they left the first stopped and said, "Oh before we forget, what do you do if you actually find someone after hours?" The other suddenly got an anxious look as they waited for the answer.

A simple smile formed, and H.M. said, "Well that depends, if it is a child who thought that living in Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria would be dream come true, I must confirm that they were alone, escort them outside, and hand them over to the appropriate authorities. If it was an adult who was there with criminal intent, I would deal with them as needed and call the police. (If they were needed.)" The three men didn't hear that last part, mostly because they were relieved that they wouldn't have to worry about missing children. They left content and hopeful for the future.

Ignored, and left alone H.M. walked to a mirror hanging over a sink, and saw himself, but not himself. His reflection showed something that if not for the solid steel faceplate could be mistaken for human.

His suit was made of a patchwork of green and gold with red trim. A top hat, and cane completed the look. Lifting the hat, he found he had dark brown hair. What skin that was visible had a light tan.

H.M. was suddenly aware that there was a note in the hand that was holding the cane. Opening it up, he read, "This cane is a gift from your first family, use it to protect your new one. From George, Jim, Sharon, and Billy."

As he read the names a flood of memories came back. Before he was the Happy Man, his name was Jim, George was his father and Sharon and Billy were his younger siblings. He remembered his father was diagnosed with stomach cancer and this would be his last job. That was why they all worked so hard to finish it. Despite the questionable modifications those four old men wanted.

H.M. recalled that Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, Toy Freddy, Sundrop, Moondrop, Toy Bonnie, Mangle, Balloon Boy, Glamrock Freddy, Montgomery "Monty" Gator, Puppet, Fun-time Foxy, Fun-time Freddy and his little buddy Bon-Bon were restored normally but Circus Baby, Toy Chica, Glamrock Chica, Roxanne "Roxy" Wolf, and Ballora were given special alterations at those old men's demand.

First, Circus Baby was made more feminine, he guessed was the word. Both Ballora and Circus Baby were given what could only be called a glam rock "upgrade". Both Circus Baby and Ballora now had hair that looked and felt real and flowed with their movements.

At the time, it all seemed like just your standard visual improvements, but then they were given Fredrika and her Party Time girls. They were a very obviously feminine and very erotic versions of Freddy, Chica, Bonnie, Foxy, and Puppet. Whoever designed these versions was either a genius or a nut-job. Both he and his father felt it got weird when the customer wanted the special tech to be reversed engineered and installed inside all the more feminine members of the Fazbear family, despite their reservations they did it. And of course, there was the Nightmare Models with razor sharp teeth and claws. He recalled that they were given the flimsy excuse of that they were meant for extreme and dangerous scenarios that could take place during the night-time security routine.

Then there was all the questionable last-minute modifications to the Happy Man. First, the synthetic skin that will regrow if damaged, just like real skin, he was anatomically correct, built with full sense of touch and taste, from pain to pleasure he could feel it all. He had the ability to remotely connect, hack and alter digital cameras, as well as remote access any network available to him including the global internet, the strength to lift several tons, several vision spectrums from regular, to thermal, to x-ray, to night vision, and a special scanner that allowed him to run facial recognition and get a full internet history or criminal background on someone instantly.

With hindsight H.M. and acceptance of his current situation he realized that this body was made to house a human soul and a very dangerous one at that. He is amazed to realize how much he and his father justified to themselves as a simple security measure or didn't give a second thought about doing.

His mind flashed back to his last night as a living human, he had gone there to place the cane with the Happy Man. The cane was special, it was durable and had a built-in stunner with adjustable voltage. When he arrived, he found those four old men, who had repeatedly shown up and demanded all the specific and weird alterations, trying to graph a piece of burnt metal into the Happy Man's torso.

He called the police and tried to stall them, but they... killed him and laughed while doing it. Unfortunately for them, the Nightmare Crew who they actually commissioned three days ago, were actually ready, and active. Their programming had recognized them as a hostile threat. There shouts of confusion had been oddly comforting. When they killed him, they had signed their own death warrant.

H.M. thought for a moment, he would like nothing more to tell his family everything, but he knows what his father would do, and his family needs the money. If he tells his father they'll try to make excuses and keep him there, but if they do that, then they won't receive the money.

It was half a million dollars before, but with his death, the added commissions and specialty work, and the fact it had all been done in such a short time frame, it would be significantly more. If he doesn't go, they won't be better off, not just from not getting paid, but he was technically a machine now. Granted the most human looking machine in existence, but a machine none the less. What kind of life could he have if he stayed. It wasn't how he wanted to leave but rarely do people choose such an exit. He is the Happy Man now, Jim is gone.

His eyes turned to see the others. That was when he noticed a energy in the animatronics. He could feel them, they had their own form of life to them, their own souls. He remembered the condition they were all in. Calling them damaged would've been a severe understatement. They had been repeatedly torn apart, burned, smashed, and covered in various unidentified substances. Considering that each one had a soul attached to them, it made more sense why the damage was so extensive.

He knew they were currently sleeping and he how to wake them at any time, he felt that he could influence them, well most of them. The Nightmare Crew felt feral. Which was strange since they were built here. A sudden realization set in; those men must have done something to them before he had arrived. Which gave more detail to their confusion at the cause of their demise.

They probably expected the intended soul to have control from the start. However, he could tell, he would never be able to fully control them. Rather he could unleash them and attempt to aim them, but he would have to step in and physically handle them, if he wanted them to stop. His mind drifted wondering what he would do, then he felt something dark tug at his soul. Maybe it was some trace of the soul that he stole this body from or maybe it was something that was already inside him. Either way, ideas began to flow. He knew he could make certain changes to the building plans. One that no one else could know about. After all, both the Nightmare Crew and the Party Time Girls weren't meant for the public areas, but that didn't mean they had to share the same space. Or that later alterations couldn't be done to the basement where the repair bay was meant to be installed.

H.M. tried to identify the desires that was welling up inside of him. One was a desire to protect those that would essentially be his new family. Another desire was to expand the Party Time Girls by adding new members. Members who would be his personal and private entertainment.
