"You make it sound as if I am being a terrible mother right now. How was I to be ready to hear her poem when I was worried about our son and selection? Nothing is going as we planned," said Tabitha.
"No, it's not going as you planned. I had no part in the selection other than hearing the day it would start and the women you picked. I need my scholars to look into what causes you to change. You're no different from my mother with the way she started to act," Jeffrey said as he walked around Tabitha. "Thankfully I know that you will soon go back to normal."
"I am tired of hearing all of you speak of going back to normal. I am feeling stressed, Jeffrey. I share your feelings of wanting to ensure the kingdom has a good ruler after us. Everyone trusts that you have raised Tobias well to become a good king. I have not raised any of these women therefore I need to be tough with my pick," Tabitha said, causing Jeffrey to stop.
