Once the sun had sufficiently risen, Soren summoned what was left of his commanding officers. Avery was still in the infirmary, so in his place, he called for his second, a young knight by the name of Daniel Huskerfield.
Once they had all gathered, Soren filled them in on his conversation with the Emperor. "In short, I've been summoned to the palace and must leave."
The men around him shifted uncomfortably.
