TERI'S POV
I couldn't hear anything. No screams, no cries, no fear. Nothing but silence. I was puzzled.
I reached out to touch Mizak, but I felt only air.
"Mizak," I whispered, but there was no answer. If everyone was dead in a blink of an eye, I would have smelled the blood.
Something was wrong. I heard footsteps in the silence. They sounded like they were coming and I was in an empty room. They were not familiar.
I was ready to fight. I didn't know how I got out of the inn or who the stranger was.
"Untie your blindfold, Teri. Then you will be able to see me," a voice said. It was a man, but I didn't recognize him.
Curiosity got the better of me. I untied my blindfold. The place was dark, but I saw a figure standing a few steps away from me. He was facing away from me, his hands behind his back. He was glowing in the dark.
I assumed it was the man who spoke.
He wore a white robe, his fingers adorned with red silk rings. His hair was silver and long.
