"Are you hiring? What's this for? Soccer match? What's Soccer?"
Sett immediately approached Zeri with Mouse and asked several questions in a row.
These days, they were too busy having fun and didn't really get to know Piltover.
Sett came to Piltover to see if he could meet that man here. Didn't that man say he was going to a better arena? Well, the arena in Piltover should be good enough, right? It's an arena that invites experts from all over the world.
But something seems off?
They call it boxing here, not fighting. And they don't have the bloody octagon cages like in Noxus.
"Um..."
Zeri looked up at the tall redhead in front of her, about to answer with surprise, but suddenly noticed his big ears and... he's wearing fur in the middle of summer?
Oh wait, that's not fur, that's his hair!
A man with long hair and furry ears?!
Being an avid reader, Zeri of course knew this man is a Vastaya.
But, but he didn't look like a Vastaya at all, except for his big fuzzy ears and hair, he looked just like a human.
This momentarily puzzled Zeri, who stood holding the sign, staring blankly at Sett in front of her.
"Are you a Vastaya?" Zeri asked.
Sett frowned, a hint of displeasure in his eyes. He was extremely sensitive about his identity, and it could even be said that, because of his childhood experiences, Sett was somewhat insecure about his half-beast identity.
The Ionians rejected him, and the Vastaya didn't like him either.
People called him a mongrel.
If it weren't for his naturally strong character and the need to protect his mother, Sett might have really become a withdrawn child.
But the truth is, it was his mother's powerful bloodline that gave Sett his strong character.
Did you really think Sett's mother, a powerful Vastaya, was a gentle and refined person?
Keep in mind that when Sett was a child, the most common thing his mother said to him was, "Son, you're too much like me in temperament, that's not good."
And so, if his mother really got angry, she'd be stronger and more capable of fighting than Sett. After all, she's a purebred Vastaya, and a fighting breed!
So is there a possibility? That man actually couldn't beat Sett's mother and was so ashamed that he fled?
"Mm." Sett nodded.
"Do you know magic?" Zeri asked again.
"No." Sett's brow furrowed even tighter.
"That's even better!" Zeri immediately exclaimed happily.
"I'm hiring you. Is this your partner?" Zeri looked at Mouse beside Sett, scrutinizing him up and down, then nodded.
Well, he looks weak compared to this Vastaya guy, but it's okay. It's already good that someone is willing to compete!
"Let's go somewhere else to talk, it's not convenient here." Zeri put away the sign, slung it behind her, and then smiled brightly, puffing up her small chest: "Please rest assured, I'm Zeri and I never lie. The promised treatment and accommodation are real, the salary is negotiable, and if we can win first place"
Zeri hesitated for a moment, then shook her head.
Forget it, she seems to be thinking too much.
First place?
That is highly unlikely....
Hmm. It's good enough to participate, to be able to compete.
"Let's go, both of you, follow me."
"How about spicy ramen? I love ramen the most. I know a super great ramen shop, they have ox bone soup noodles, codfish ramen, Elnuk ramen, lamb bone ramen."
Zeri chattered away.
With the team formed, she was extremely happy.
Once everyone agreed, she would immediately submit the roster to Councilor Linwin for approval to participate in the Lightning Team!
Sett looked at the lively girl in front of him, a hint of surprise flashing in his eyes.
Isn't she curious?
A guy who doesn't know magic and looks different from other Vastaya.
Forget it, from the looks of her, she probably doesn't even know what that represents.
"Boss?" Mouse sensed Sett's emotions and looked up at Sett with concern.
"Let's go, Mouse."
Sett said.
------
In the afternoon, at the Antique Ramen Shop—this is a ramen shop that originated from Zaun and has opened three branches in Piltover.
Zeri, with Sett and Mouse, walked into the Antique Ramen Shop.
As soon as Zeri entered, she shouted loudly, "Uncle Ted, a bowl of silver codfish ramen."
"Oh, Zeri, you're here again."
Eating ramen in Piltover in the morning, and eating ramen in Zaun at night!
This is Zeri's daily routine now.
Finding a nice four-person table, Zeri looked at Sett and Mouse and said, "Please order, we'll eat and talk. I'll tell you what soccer is."
"Don't worry, you're a Vastaya, naturally strong, quick to learn, you'll surely understand the rules of soccer soon."
Zeri then looked at Mouse beside her and comforted, "You too, there's a role for everyone so don't worry."
Mouse: "?"
For some reason, Mouse felt that he just got tag along.
"You want silver codfish ramen, what about these two?"
An employee of the Antique Ramen Shop came over, and Zeri turned her head and saw a girl with not-so-tall stature and messy hair looking at her.
"Are you a new employee?" Zeri blinked curiously.
These past few days, because she was busy with Seraphine and forming the team, Zeri didn't have time to eat ramen, so the shop hired new people while she didn't visit here?
"Yeah," she said.
"By the way, what's your name?" Zeri smiled at her, then looked at Sett and asked.
"You can call me Sett," Sett said his name.
Zeri then looked at Mouse.
"I'm Yu," Mouse suddenly spoke, "but you can also call me Mouse, that's what my friends call me."
"Okay." Zeri made a gesture.
"Sett, have you and Mouse eaten ramen before?"
"Of course we have."
What kind of question is that? Is ramen some kind of precious food?
"That's good! I was worried you wouldn't adapt." Zeri breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, "Then I recommend three kinds of ramen, silver codfish, ox bone soup, and Elnuk meat soup ramen."
"What's an Elnuk?" Sett asked curiously.
"It's a kind of beef brought from Freljord, it's super tender and juicy."
"Then I'll have a bowl of Elnuk ramen." Sett looked at Zeri.
"Okay, one silver codfish and one Elnuk." The girl standing next to Zeri picked up a pen and checked them on the paper.
"I, I'll have the ox bone soup." Mouse said.
"Okay, please wait a moment." The girl noted down the order, then said to the three of them.
"Sett, Mouse."
Before leaving, she heard the green-haired girl speak up again.
"Antique Ramen is very delicious, but there's another place with great ramen too, tonight, or maybe tomorrow? I'll take you to Twin Cities Village. There's more delicious food to eat."
"What do we need to do?"
"Huh, didn't I say?" Zeri blinked.
"It's simple, be athletes, play soccer."
"Don't worry, whether we win or lose, I'll still pay you wages, and the treatment in Twin Cities Village is all free, including food and lodging!"
Then, a rough voice interrupted her eavesdropping.
"Why are you still standing there?!"
"Hurry up and serve the bowls!"
The manager of the Antique Ramen Shop shouted loudly at her.
"Comming." She nodded.
Is there even more delicious and "free" ramen?
