"The transformation of the divine dragon into an NPC greatly surprised Lin Ke.
Lin Ke's mind absorbed all the information this NPC had about the world, making it seem as if he had two brains—one for storing memories of his original world, and the other for immersing itself in the Dragon Ball world that now existed.
"I'm... I'm about to explode!"
While others might have thought that receiving so much information at once would be manageable, Lin Ke's brain felt like it was on the verge of exploding. The intense pain from this explosion numbed his entire body.
Despite Lin Ke's plea to stop, he had no control over the situation; everything was dictated by this NPC's divine dragon.
...
After enduring the excruciating pain, Lin Ke sat still, appearing lifeless to onlookers.
In his silence, he contemplated that others probably assumed he had met an unfortunate end.
"Data has been injected into your brain. You have two options to survive in the Dragon Ball world..."
Before Lin Ke could react, the NPC continued, not giving him a moment to intervene.
"Muggle, a smooth transition for others, and I end up here with all sorts of problems. Life sure takes interesting turns."
"And this 'Gou Live' thing? Does it mean I'll be facing constant adversity in this new world?"
Lin Ke couldn't help but ponder how low his status must be in the Dragon Ball world now.
The NPC noticed Lin Ke wasn't paying attention and grew somewhat impatient.
Zap, zap, zap!
Lightning struck Lin Ke's bald head, causing the characteristic six dots of a monk to be etched in lightning.
A scream erupted. "Do you really have to resort to lightning for a little complaint?"
Upon closer inspection, Lin Ke resembled a charred figure, enveloped in black smoke, and his eyes locked onto Shenlong with a helpless expression.
"This is just a warning; next time, you'll be instantly obliterated," the divine dragon warned.
Lin Ke wondered why this divine dragon seemed to have the temperament of a young girl from his original world.
"Now, two options for you to survive—make your choice quickly!" Shenlong seemed in a hurry.
Lin Ke had to pay close attention and rubbed his bald head.
"Next, your abilities. The first is Krillin's original abilities, you know about those."
The NPC presented Lin Ke with two choices.
Lin Ke considered Krillin's abilities. Despite internet claims that Krillin was Earth's strongest, Lin Ke believed otherwise. After all, there were more powerful individuals like Tien Shinhan and Master Roshi. The abilities, namely, the Destructo Disc and the Turtle School's Kamehameha, were decent but not exceptional.
Thinking about the future and the Saiyan invasion, Lin Ke was somewhat reluctant to choose Krillin's original abilities.
"As for the second option, it's Saitama's power, commonly known as One-Punch Man. You're familiar with that, right?"
The NPC presented another option.
Lin Ke was taken aback. Did he really have the power of Saitama, the most powerful bald hero? This power could be summed up in one word: invincible!
"Choose one. If you don't choose, it means giving up," the NPC declared.
Before Shenlong could finish speaking, Lin Ke erupted with a loud question.
"Can I truly gain Saitama-sensei's power in the Dragon Ball world?"
"Yes..." Shenlong replied, sweating profusely in response to Lin Ke's unexpected outburst.
"Red Doga?"
Shenlong was growing impatient. "Hurry up!"
"Second!!! Second!!!!" Lin Ke shouted excitedly.
Lin Ke couldn't believe it—he possessed the unstoppable power of Saitama. This power was what every Earthling dreamt of, it seemed.
The divine dragon grasped Lin Ke's enthusiasm and noticed his new form as Krillin was filled with anticipation. It appeared that Lin Ke, as an Earthling, intended to make waves in the Dragon Ball world.
Ding! (The sound of the dragon fulfilling a wish; interpret it as you will.)
With red, blinking eyes, similar to when he made his wish, the divine dragon said, "Your choice has been granted. Farewell!"
Suddenly, the divine dragon transformed into smoke and vanished. Space's constriction was lifted, and Lin Ke was greeted with mocking laughter from the fellow disciples in the room.
Although Lin Ke had made his choice, he felt no physical changes yet.
"You call yourself a coward! Trying to provoke me again?" scoffed one senior disciple.
Although Lin Ke didn't know what had changed within him, he suddenly believed that he could defeat these bullies with a single punch.
"Hmph!"
Lin Ke stood up abruptly, surprising everyone present.
"Hey! The kid's actually standing up! He used to collapse with just one punch, and he wouldn't wake up for days," one remarked.
Upon hearing this, Lin Ke chuckled. This newfound confidence was evident in his smile.
In his heart, he thought, "In this world, I'm not Lin Ke; I'm Krillin—the bald-headed, strongest Earthling!"
"You Earthly scoundrels have corrupted the planet! Although I'm still bald, I'm not your typical Dragon Ball character!"
His words caused tension to rise in the room.
The senior disciple grew cautious, seeing a strange, confident smile on Krillin's face. He thought, "Where did this kid find the audacity to say this? Is he looking for trouble?"
"If you seek trouble, say it now!" Krillin confidently retorted, "Trouble? Who's afraid of trouble!"
