Chapter 608: Hailey Baldwin!

After listening to Chad's introduction and exchanging a few words with Alec, Martin gained a comprehensive understanding of the Baldwin family's situation.

The Baldwin brothers, all renowned supporting actors in Hollywood, include Alec as the eldest, William as the second, and Stephen as Hailey's father.

"In the film, your character is an old friend of mine," Martin mentioned as they had just met, and topics were scarce. They delved into discussing their respective roles. "I'm confident they will provide me with valuable insights."

Alec, a traditional actor, responded, "I meticulously studied the script to grasp the character's essence, and I even visited Rome last week."

Chad interjected, "It's unfortunate that your role primarily consists of interior scenes in Brooklyn."

Alec added, "Indeed, that's why I went to Rome to capture the ambiance of a unique Roman hotel owner."

Martin expressed his anticipation, saying, "I'm looking forward to our collaboration."

Alec replied with a smile, "Likewise."

Following a brief conversation, Martin prepared to depart.

However, Hailey Baldwin, who had been sitting quietly in the back and overlooked until now, suddenly spoke up. "Martin, could I take a photo with you?"

Martin agreed, saying, "Sure."

Hailey hesitantly inquired, "Can I take a picture with you and post it on Twitter?" She playfully added, "All my friends know I'm on your set."

Martin nodded, saying, "No problem."

Bruce took Hailey's iPhone, and she rushed over to Martin, wrapping her arm around him with a sunbeam smile.

Martin looked down at Hailey and couldn't help but imagine how she would look when she grew up, despite her youthful appearance.

In his previous life, he had often seen her face on the Internet. Back then, her name wasn't Hailey Baldwin; it was Hailey Bieber. She seemed to be Justin's wife.

Hailey grinned at Martin and mentioned, "Our group of friends idolizes you."

Martin encouraged her, saying, "You have the potential to become a successful actor."

"I will!" Hailey exclaimed with determination. "I'm going to be a star for sure!"

Bruce reminded them to take the photos, and after they posed, he returned the phone to Hailey.

Perhaps due to her family's background in acting, Hailey tweeted in front of Martin, tagging @Martin Davis.

Jessica usually handled Martin's official promotions, and he rarely checked them. However, he decided to follow Hailey at this moment.

Martin pocketed his phone, shook hands with Alec, and left the conference room.

A notification sounded on Hailey's phone. Her recent tweet had garnered numerous comments.

"Wow, I'm so jealous you got a photo with Martin!"

"My boyfriend just got a hug from your arm!"

"Step aside and let me have a turn with Martin!"

Hailey felt a sense of gratification she couldn't put into words and playfully remarked, "You all back off; Martin is mine now."

Alec approached his niece and called her, "Let's go."

Martin descended in the elevator and, as he reached the building's lobby, Bruce's phone rang, a call from overseas.

He answered and exchanged a few words, then covered the phone and informed Martin, "It's Alexandrovitch on the line."

Martin took the phone and introduced himself, "This is Martin Davis."

A distinct accent met his ears as Alexandrovich spoke, "Hello, Martin, I am Alexandrovich."

Without delay, Alexandrovich got to the point, "I've returned to Kiev from Paris and discussed the project with my partner, the director and screenwriter Marius. We agree to rewrite the script according to your preferences and are willing to create an English version."

Martin had expected this outcome, given the allure of American and Hollywood projects to Ukrainian professionals.

Alexandrovich continued, "Now that Marius and I have come to an agreement, may I come to the United States to discuss the script adaptation with you?"

Martin contemplated briefly and replied, "Certainly, you can come directly to New York since I'm filming here. Call me when you arrive for the new film."

Alexandrovich confirmed, "We'll make preparations and aim to arrive in New York within a week."

Considering that most of Martin's scenes would be shot in New York with only a few exterior shots in Rome, he added, "Okay."

After ending the call, Alexandrovich pumped his fist enthusiastically and exclaimed to Marius, "We're heading to the United States, to Hollywood! Are you ready to win an Oscar, my friend?"

Marius mirrored the excitement, shouting, "Are you prepared to be the best actor?"

"I want to be the best actor!" Alexandrovich cheered, "And you're the finest director!"

They hugged and laughed, their sights set on America as their guiding star.

...

After lunch, Martin returned to his Upper East Side apartment. It had been a while, and he almost ended up on the wrong floor.

Though Lily didn't reside in New York, she made sure to keep the apartment neat and tidy.

This apartment had been acquired from Brad Pitt at a remarkably low price. In the past two years, the American economy had rebounded, and the real estate market had surged. Its current value was three times what Martin had paid for it.

Reflecting on this, Martin considered Brad Pitt to be quite a generous person.

Martin recalled that Pitt had received a reduced sentence for actively cooperating against Harvey Weinstein and was expected to be released by year-end.

Thinking of how Brad Pitt had lost a significant portion of his family fortune due to fines and compensation, Martin felt compelled to extend a helping hand.

He planned to discuss this with his old neighbor, Jenna Jones, once he returned to Los Angeles and recommend a highly talented actor from the Sacred Valley. Such an artistic environment would surely welcome Brad Pitt.

Glancing at the wine cabinet and the kitchen, Martin headed out with Bruce to shop for the evening's party.

Wine and an assortment of fruit drinks were essential items.

Martin also contacted Taylor to ensure they had spare clothes ready for the occasion.

Taylor insisted that Martin need not go through so much trouble; they already had everything prepared.

After the various items were delivered to Martin's satisfaction, he indulged in a short nap, aware that he might be up late and needed to conserve his energy.

At 5:30 in the afternoon, Martin drove himself and arrived promptly at Taylor's apartment building.

After a brief wait, the four women with suitcases emerged from the building, one by one, and climbed into the car.

Taylor settled into the passenger seat, fastened her seatbelt, and exclaimed, "Let's get this party started!"

Martin revved up the engine and replied, "Ladies, you're embarking on a dream journey."

Carly-K Rouse, with her blonde hair pulled back, chimed in casually, "Taylor's been bragging about how amazing it is to be with you, how good you are at causing trouble..."

Martin shot a glance at Taylor, wondering what these girls talked about privately. Their conversation seemed intense.

Carly continued, "Martin, you won't disappoint your little fans, right?"

Before Martin could respond, Cara Delevingne leaned toward the driver's seat and proclaimed to Martin, "I'm your die-hard fan. We die-hard fans aspire to reach the pinnacle, you know?"

Martin couldn't help but think of Toni.

"Do you know what the pinnacle of a die-hard fan is?" Cara asked, then answered herself, "It's getting close to your idol!"

These girls were bold and candid, and Martin was no different. "I promise you won't forget tonight for the rest of your lives. It's going to be an unforgettable party."

Selena reached out her hand and said, "We're not doubting you, but it's four against one!"

Martin chuckled, "I'm not afraid of doubling down."

He turned his attention to Taylor and suggested, "Tonight's a great opportunity. You should compose another song, something specially written for our party."

Taylor blinked and replied, "I'm not feeling inspired right now. I need you to infuse me with some inspiration."

"Gladly," Martin agreed. He pulled up to the apartment building's entrance. After ensuring no paparazzi or reporters were lurking, he invited the four of them to exit the car.

Taylor and the others grabbed their suitcases, followed Martin into the elevator, and soon arrived at his apartment.

"Wow, you can see all of Central Park from here!" Selena exclaimed. She dropped her suitcase, walked to the floor-to-ceiling window in the living room, pointed towards a distant theater, and remarked, "That's where we partied hard last night. Taught Justin Bieber a lesson!"

Martin gently reminded, "Ladies, you haven't properly thanked me yet."

Karlie Kloss opened her suitcase, retrieved a small cardboard box, and tossed it to Martin. "Consider this a token of our gratitude!"

Martin caught it and teased, "Carly, those figures seem a bit low."

Cara Delevingne, determined to attain the highest level of fanhood, exclaimed in surprise, "Really?"

Martin chuckled, "I hate to brag." Then, Taylor had an idea and quickly pulled out a pen and notebook. "I just had a creative spark but lost it. Carly, Kara, and Selena, you guys, hurry up and stimulate me for inspiration!"

Cara Delevingne crouched beside him.

Selena Gomez pounced from the side.

Karlie Kloss launched an attack from behind.

For a moment, Martin found himself under siege.

Once the battle began in earnest, Taylor's senses were heightened, and his inspiration finally flowed. Amidst Carly's ecstatic cries, a melody formed in his mind.

But that wasn't enough.

Taylor jotted down the melody and, failing to find further inspiration, decided to perform it himself.

Before long, Taylor's melodic voice filled the room.

As the quiet settled, all five of them had expended a considerable amount of energy. Martin placed a phone call and arranged for a nearby restaurant to deliver dinner.

Selena touched her lips and remarked, "Taylor was right, it really does nourish your singing voice."

Cara Delevingne nodded enthusiastically.

Karlie Kloss admitted, "I don't know how to sing, but I felt it."

She stretched her arms and exclaimed, "Taylor, just like you said, it's an incredible experience!"

Dinner arrived, and the four girls enjoyed a meal filled with laughter and playful banter, all while getting into trouble with Martin once again.
