The old deity's advise to Esong.

Esong wasn't trying to escape Scarlet and her need to talk, not completely; he had truly been summoned by the gods, the god of death in particular to his palace.

He was feeding his crows, with bits of fresh bloody meat.

 "You are here, great. You need to go hunting again, it's urgent. Apparently something escaped the demon bone mountain while your wife was giving birth. I would send one of the gatekeepers but you will get the job done much sooner now that you have managed to avoid punishment for your crime."

"I did not commit a crime. Also, now is not the best time for me to go demon hunting, my wife just had the babies."

The old deity turned his head to Esong and he frowned. "You are not Nyx I take it, so I must be talking to the human."

"I am also not human anymore." Esong responded.
