The Protective Nest

Demyan

"And where are your gloves?" I took Ethan's cold hands in mine as we waited with Helena for our spiral potato chips.

It was only then he raised his eyebrows and stared at his hands, "I must have forgotten them at one of the stalls."

"Would you like me to send my assistant to get you a pair?" Helena offered.

Ethan shook his head as he blew vapour through his lips then smiled. He was the most precious being in the universe. "No, it's alright. We're heading to the restaurant soon." I pouted, took off my gloves then put them on his hands and fastened the straps to make sure they were secured. "Demyan."

"It's alright," I pressed a kiss to his cheek, "We'll take turns, it's just to warm you up."

"You need them more than me," he argued as he looked down to my stomach as if cold hands would affect my pregnancy.
