Alexander Foster's whip injuries were quite severe.

He didn't mention much, but Chloe Collins learned from Charles Carrington that he took two lashings for Robert Foster.

Those two lashes were originally aimed at Robert, but Alexander blocked them. He caught the whip with his bare hands, and when the Master pulled it out, in a fit of anger, he lashed at Alexander's chest twice.

Chloe got a jar of ointment from Albert Green and after dinner, she asked Alexander to take off his clothes so she could apply it on him.

But when she brought the ointment back, she saw Alexander, head bowed, reading a book, his shirt still on.

"Let's apply the medicine," she said.

Alexander put down his book and said, "Just leave it here, I'll apply it later. It's on the front, so it won't bother."
