Scrapped 2.1: Underwater

*SHHSHSHH*

The sink water splashed onto her face as she stared up. Her face was covered in scars. However, this face held a sense of sharpness. Her tanned skin and brown hair blended together and she pushed her short hair back.

"Heh...I look handsome." She muttered. But she adverted her gaze, not giving herself another glance. The leather jacket she wore was wet with beer and blood. She needed to change.

She walked outside and watched the pouring rain. She didn't bring an umbrella and she had to carry the files she needed to her car.

"Fuck." She pulled herself to her car, her body wet with rain, but the files almost untouched as she pulled them out of her jacket and onto the passenger seat.

She leaned back. Her soggy pants sticking to her skin as the rain tapped on her window.

"Ha..." She sighed. She had to come to the company to collect the papers for the next dungen break. It was apart of the script. Her script.

She was an A-Class hunter, sure. She goes on exspditions and fights monsters, but she also manages a group of arrogant kids. Some rich folks who believe with money they'll get everything. Well, she didn't like them, but she had to suck up to them.

'Well, a Class 7 Dungen will appear soon. It's all apart of the script.' She needed to know where it will happen. It wasn't said in the script so she needed to figure it out herself, 'During this dungeon appearance the protagonist will appear and will be stuck in the dungeon for 4 years with his main harem love interest, and it's all because of CLARA. He will trap the protagonist in there.'

She goaned, driving herself towards her apartment. She staggered towards the elviator, her appearance gaining attention.

"Oh my god, look it's Clara!"

"Should we go and ask for his autograph?"

"No...No...He looks angry. Did you see the last person who asked for his autograph when he was angry?"

"Your right..."

She could hear the mutters of the extra as she went to her luxary apartment. She pushed a smirk.

'They need to fear me...' She thought, shifting her feet as a unfilimlar feeling arose from her stomach, 'They need to...'

She arrived at her apartment. Her eyes gazing at the city view and she frowned. She didn't like apartments, or the city, or spending a fortune to rent this place out. But she had to, it's all apart of the script.

She placed the files ontop of the table and walked to her room. The room was bear and cold. The place decked out in black and blue.

She pulled herself into the master bathroom and began striping.

'Augh...' She tapped her side, which was yellow and brusied. It was from the last expedition she commanded, one of the incopetent rich kids hit her with a shield and she screamed at them. She gazed down, the wraps that covered her chest falling.

She stepped into the shower and began scrubbing her scarred skin. The dust and blood dropping off in clumps.

"..." As she was washing her hair she remembered her sister. Her sister she hated with all her life, second to her brother. She was always so arrogant and mad. Always so mad at someone. She was pretty though. With long black hair and an oval face. It was different from her, with light brown hair and a round face.

She wish she had her face, because she looked too feminen. Too girly. Her sister didn't have to try to look cool or pretty, she just was, and she was jealous.

Everyday she would try and be better than her siblings She would dress in boys clothing, participate in sports she didn't like to be better than her brother, and try harder in her studies to be better than her sister.

But no matter how hard she tried, she never seemed to be better than them.

"No..." She stepped out of the shower and got dressed. Stepping into the living room she began sorting the papers, "I'm better now..."

Scans and processes of potential dungen manifeses. Her eyes gazed across the papers, pointing out data and writing it down in her notebook. As far as she knew, the dungeon would break in an unexpected place. The protagonist will end up near the

She frowned.

'I don't like those who take what's not theirs...' She remembered when she was younger, she stole her brothers headset to play games, and she got beat up by both her brother and mother. She laughed, her youngerself was stupid.

She shook her head, moving her gaze towards the map. The manifestation of the dungeon would be between a level 2 and level 6 permitet dungen. However, it was also east of the Union's building.

The map she was looking at held points of all the level 2 permient dungens marked with red, while the level 6 perminet dungens were marked with green. The Union building will marked with green, and she smiled.

'So...' She wrote down the corrdients, marking them on the map in her notebook, '30.3 miles from here, Huntson VII Street.'

Satifyed she packed up the files and placed them in her bedroom. She glanced at her watch, it was 1:04 a.m.

She sighed and walked to the fridge, pulling out a pack of beer. She would enjoy some time off before she had to report to the company.

She walked towards her boucany, her legs shaking as she sat on the chair and began pouring the liquid down her throat.

'Nasty...' She watched the city below, and closed her eyes, 'I need to organize another exspdition team for the level 3 dungen, then I need to deal with the backlash from that brat...'

She sighed.

'Then I need to make my way to Huntson VII Street...' She had so much to do, in so little time. On top of that, she needed to stop by the nightclub and flirt with a couple of rich folk to keep this facade up, 'ugh...'

She began drinking again, hoping to have drifted off like in those movies, but she had strong tolerance just like her father. He may have acted drunk but she knew he wasn't drunk, she was just like him.

'Damn...' She gazed at the lights of the city, '...'

She sat there for a moment. The cool breeze air touching her skin, while the smell of beer held her breath.

"..." In times like this, when the world was silent and she was alone, she thought, thought back to the world before. Before, all of this, all of the pain and pretend, "AUGH!"

And she would scream.

She felt suffocated, in both this life and the last. She needed to do this, do that, and she couldn't have a breath of fresh air. Sure, now she had everything she wanted now. Money. Fame. Power. Aroogence. Confidence. But she felt like she was missing something. Somthing her pastself had that she didn't.

What was it?

Who was it?

And what can she do to get it?

"..."

She crushed the can and threw it to the ground.

'I don't care...'

She didn't need her past life back. She had everything here. She just needed to keep up this act and she'd be able to live well by herself, because she didn't need anyone else.

'Yeah...I don't need anyone...'

She gazed at her callased hands.

'...'

Then leaned back.

"..."

And watched the world go by.

It was too complex to plan out where this was going, so I gave up half way.
