Ch 35 First Look At Strigoi

After a few hours of flight I spotted Mountains of the Moon.

They were a chain of giant snow tipped mountains with large dense forests that reached halfway up and covered the foothills and surrounding area.

It was the perfect place to hide large tribes and not worry about Knights coming in horseback to kill you since the woods seemed to just be too dense for horses to be useful.

I chose a clearing inside the forest area to land in.

It was large enough for Ancalagon to land so I touched down there.

I helped my women descend before Ancalagon laid down to rest....he didn't actually get tired but he seemed to enjoy napping as much as I did.

I relaxed with my women as we watched the movie braveheart on the magic Television and a few other shows.

I was waiting until sundown to start my hunt after all.

As soon as the sun fell from the sky I headed into the woods with Rhaella following close behind.

Melisandre with her powerful fire magic would be able to kill thousands so I wasn't worried for them.....the biggest deterrent however was the Monstrous dragon laying down nearby.

We both spread our wings and flew just above the tree tops as I spread my senses to look for the nearest people.

there were three tribes near us, all consisting of a few thousand people, I could see the faint glimmer of dozens of campfires in the distance.

I spotted the tribe I wished to decimate first and I flew towards it since it was furthest away from the others.

On the way there I stumbled across a hunting party of twelve who had just killed a three hundred pound wild hog and we're in the process of butchering it under the light of a campfire.

as the savages began to gut the animal we silently landed behind the distracted group.

I approached with my claws extended to the nearest man and snatched him away silently.

I had to test the power of Vampiric thralls after all.

I slashed his throat with one sharp claw and floated all the dripping crimson blood into my mouth.....Mountain savage blood tasted much richer than other peoples blood.....must be all the wild game they eat regularly.

when the man was drained I cast the Enthrallment curse on him.....for a few moments nothing happened until his eyes popped open....his iris and sclera were completely black and his skin was ghostly white with thin black veins visible throughout his face.

The long shaggy hair and messy beard fell off of him as he became completely hairless As he rose he stood hunched with his arms nearly dragging on the ground.

The creature ripped off all of its clothes to reveal a body without genitals, it was just pale skin and muscle which covered it's hunched over body.

the gash on his throat closed slowly, He had an animalistic look to him as stood there with his mouth open, his teeth had all turned razor sharp like a piranha.

In place of hands and feet he now had monstrous claws at the tips of each finger and his toes had equally long claws like some kind of animal, His ears were pointed and his nose shortened which gave him a Monstrous and inhuman look.

His ugly head jerked and his black eyes stared hungrily at his companions who were still talking and butchering the carcass and his mouth began to open and close as he took in the scent of their fresh blood.

I could see the desire printed on his face but it wouldn't dare attack without an order from me.

Vampiric Enthrallment had dulled his mind and left only the willingness to obey his master and a hunger for human flesh.

Rhaella and I looked at the Creature before us in fascination before I ordered it to attack the other men.

His black eyes gained a light of understanding for only a moment before he dashed up the nearest tree in near absolute silence, the only noise made from the creature was the faint noise of its claws digging into the tree as it climbed up.

He hopped from one tree to the next as the monster neared the other men who were now singing a folk song and taking sips from a wineskin.

When he was just above them the Strigoi's saliva dripped unknowingly on one of the men who looked up into the canopy of trees.

The man narrowed his eyes to see what it was.....he saw a monster in the trees and before he could cry out in horror, the beast launched itself at him and clawed violently into his chest violently while ripping off and swallowing chunks of flesh.

The other men looked on in horror at the sight and most fell over themselves in horror as they retreated back in fear of the demon.

The only man who didn't was the oldest in the group, he was a head taller than the rest and instead of running he grabbed his stone tipped spear and threw it at the creature who was shredding his kinsman.

The stone tipped spear soared through the air and launched itself in the back of the monster who screeched loudly as it retreated into the darkness on all fours.

The Strigoi retreated into the canopy for a moment as it tore the stone spear out of its chest and dropped it onto the ground in anger.

Since its mouth was full of healing blood the wound on its chest closed rather quickly and soon it was silently moving towards the group of men again.

The other ten men had already armed themselves and had their weapons aimed at the area where they saw the creature run off to.

But the Strigoi was a master of the night even if it was recently created.

It flew from tree to tree in absolute silence before crawling to the ground still on all fours.

Like a panther it neared the backs of the ten men and launched itself forwards.

With each swipe of its deadly claws, blood and gore flew across the forest and painted the trees and grass all around them in crimson.

The men managed to land a few hits on the creature but if they didn't decapitate it then It would not die from simple wounds.

When the fighting was over the ten men lay on the ground with two of them alive enough to be groaning and crying for help as they looked at their missing arms or down at their exposed intestines.

The Strigoi crawled to one still living man and began to pull out his intestines as he cried out in horror.

I neared the scene and ordered the Strigoi to stop.....he immediately backed off and looked at the ground while waiting for its next orders.

I inspected the bodies for a moment before absorbing all the blood that stained the surroundings.

I cast The Enthrallment Curse on the bodies but only eight of them were complete enough to resurrect.

They rose after a moment and transformed into creatures just as repulsive as the other one.

Hunched back, pale sickly skin, hairless, black eyes, razor sharp teeth and claws, and a small Voldemort like nose.

When I ordered them to eat the fallen they jumped at the chance and began tearing the flesh of their comrades with fervor as they would shove each other and begin chomping on the bones and pulling out ribs before being shoved off of the body as another took it's place...they reminded me of hyenas with the animalistic way they ate.

After a few minutes the carcasses were mostly gone as these monsters had torn up and eaten everything.

They just stood there waiting for orders from me.

a smile came across my face.....they were everything I wanted them to be and tonight I would use them well.
