The Secret

Compared to the celebratory atmosphere in the newly established country "Paradise", leaders from other nations were visibly unsettled.

Charles' announcement had been clear and universal in its implications: Mutants had established their own country and were broadcasting this news to the world. The signal had been cut off and replaced with a live broadcast from the new nation Paradise.

Mutants, who had long faced discrimination from ordinary humans, were now rallying to their new homeland with fervor. Their once scattered and seemingly inconsequential numbers had coalesced into a formidable force.

The peculiar and diverse abilities of Mutants, combined with the unsettling news about a fifth-level Mutant who could replicate abilities, added to the growing anxiety among global leaders.

The video conference among the heads of state was marked by an ominous silence. The video feed representing the President of the United States had gone dark—he had been killed by Alex just the day before.

Finally, one representative broke the silence.

"Let's discuss the implications of the Mutant nation "Paradise"," he said, his tone heavy with concern.

"It's clear we need to take action. If Mutants are allowed to form a nation, who could stand against them?" a representative from one of the other countries replied.

"Our nation will not be involved in this matter," said another leader quickly, eager to distance themselves from the situation. With the President of the United States already fallen, they were cautious not to overstep their bounds.

"Our diplomacy adheres to the basic principle of peaceful coexistence, and we don't make a fuss about the establishment of Mutant settlements," said a different head of state with a smile, shaking his head. "They've managed to sneak away all of your nuclear bombs, even those that were in space. One country was hit, but who knows if there are others still out there?"

He continued, "If a nuclear bomb lands in your territory, you'll have no one to blame but yourselves. Mutants are also human. Since you rejected them, they've decided to settle down on their own. What's it to you?"

The official's tone was clear, "If your xenophobia weren't so intense, things wouldn't have come to this."

He added, "I'm not the slightest bit concerned. As a special institution of our nation, who doesn't have a Mutant among them?"

The official shrugged, "It's also evident that Mutants have not caused harm to humans. Many Mutants serve the country with distinction. Even those who haven't joined special organizations still contribute positively and occasionally bring justice. We acknowledge their contributions."

"The country remains peaceful. If Mutants have established their own nation to address their own issues, so be it."

He concluded, "Other countries manage their own affairs, yet they push narratives of Mutant harm. When the oppressed Mutants hear about this ideal settlement, they're bound to head there at all costs."

As soon as the person in charge made this announcement, it sparked contempt from the other representatives. It's easy to speak without experiencing the situation firsthand. Do they not understand the state of the institutions in your country?

Is it really appropriate to say this? Regardless of your own issues, you certainly won't participate, object, or approve! What a damn old hooligan!

Anyone aware of this meeting would certainly express their frustration.

The others were also quite helpless. They had long anticipated that they would handle Mutant-related work as if it were a study project.

"Well, as the leader of our nation, I will go to Paradise to offer congratulations first." After hearing the report from his subordinates, the person in charge's eyes lit up, and he ended the video call with a smile.

"Is what you said true?" The person in charge's smile faded as he asked seriously.

"Absolutely!"

"Okay! I will send them a letter of congratulations. Also, I will send one thousand tons food items, building materials, and plant seeds. If anything is missing, let us know."

"I will take care of it now!" the subordinate replied, eager to execute the grand gesture.

Soon, all the materials were dispatched to the Mutant country in the Pacific, Paradise. Large cargo ships and planes were loaded with supplies, each marked with the emblem of goodwill. The logistics teams worked around the clock, ensuring that everything would arrive in pristine condition.

Upon receiving the news, other countries could only marvel at the generosity. They quickly declared that they would send everything within their means. Diplomatic channels buzzed with activity as nations scrambled to show their support, eager not to be outdone.

Is this preparing to turn Paradise into a model nation? The world watched with bated breath, curious to see what the future held for this new and powerful community.
