Dimensional Traveler

He smiled as he remembered those words and it doesn't matter if the strange voice that he keeps on hearing came from a demon or something but if it will grant him one desirable wish that he had then, he would accept it without worries….
'Yes, I want to live and be away from the cage that binds me…. Will you grant it for me?'
At that moment, that strange voice said something unfamiliar to him…

Before the blade would cut off his head, he lost consciousness and surrender to his newfound fate that would awaits him…

For over a millennium year that had come by, he became aware of what he had become the moment he answered that question from the strange voice that he heard from his first life…
His first life has ended but reborn as a new person…
Or rather, a being what they called DIMENSIONAL TRAVELER.
He learned countless things that he would never have imagined in his entire life. Becoming a Dimensional Traveler who's tasked with crossing over to different worldlines in order to take missions that would be given to them by the Higher Councils of the Main House System.
Integrate themselves or to be more precise, transmigrating to another person's body in order to fulfill the original owner's wish or to make a balance of those respective worldlines that they handle.
The worldlines that we, Dimensional Travelers, happened to cross over and took on roles within, those worldlines were created by the Main House System in the form of a [story] and were stored within what they called the [System Archive].
Including his first life where it ended tragically.
'It means, all of my suffering and misfortune that happens to me from those moments are designated from the moment I was born…'
Upon learning those information, for some reason, he should felt hatred for his whole life being toyed with and being manipulated but instead of feeling those kinds of emotions, he feels like…. He's been freed from the mysterious shackles that binds him into that role.
At the end, he just accepted his fate and his role as a Dimensional Traveler.

A man clad in white and grey hanfu was seating crossed legs at the edge of the cliff with close eyes, calming himself as if he wanted to be left alone and to relax, but in reality, he was waiting for someone to come.
While waiting and do nothing, the man in question speaks through his mind in annoyance.
'Just when the heck that f*cking guy would come here?! Before that happens, I'll freeze to death in my sit!'
His tirade through his thoughts and after that, the sound of something familiar through his mind that he kept on hearing for over a millennium of times that he couldn't count anymore.

He raised an eyebrow at his non-existent companion since both of them had been together throughout this journey and also, this is the same entity who binds him and transforms him into a Dimensional Traveler the moment of his death at his first life.
As he learned things throughout his journey as a Dimensional Traveler, this entity called [System] is nothing but a computer-based technology that he learned from his world-hopping journey since there are worldlines that almost had a similar environment from the Main House System.
Well, after all, that realm is the one who created the worldlines, so it makes sense for these [Systems] to have some similarities to those modern worldlines where science and technology came from.
Also, he is at least indebted to them, who gave him the reason to live his life and experience this journey. Not only that, but for saving him from his impending madness because of the betrayal and abandonment from those people that he thought would help him.
Before his mind clouded from those unpleasant memories, he shook off his head and responded back to his system companion through his mind.
'What is it? Didn't we always encounter problems like this in the past? Like what… thousands or millennium times already? Oh, let me guess this one.'
He paused for a minute as he pretended to think as he placed his hand under his chin, but he already had an answer to this one as he continued.
'The male protagonist and the villainess who were supposed to hate each other are now in a platonic relationship and that heroine still put on the [white lotus] act in front of everyone to gain pity?'
« Esteemed host if correct. It seems like the host had already anticipated this outcome... »
He snorted because of what his system companion stated.
'It's the almost cliché romance plot with the f*cking white lotus stupid heroine and her other male leads, with a touch of a rival villainess who was the supposed fiancé of the male protagonist in a [xianxia] setting storyline.'
With that thought, he paused once more before he continued.
'Also, who wouldn't be able to predict what the outcome would be since I meddle a little in this story setting? Tsk!'
